Erika, unfortunately, ego will always exist, but the point is well taken that we need to limit our ego, otherwise we will make biased and/ or selfish decisions. Keith

You hit on a very grounded truth, Keith. The ego is a fundamental part of the human experience; we can’t completely destroy it, nor should we. But mastering it, limiting its control over us, and keeping it in check is where the real growth happens. Thank you for adding that crucial perspective to the conversation!

I agree, Keith! I don’t think one of us will be able to eliminate the ego during this lifetime. But with every little ray of light (awareness) we shrink it and limit its access.

Beautifully said, Mark. Cleaning out that ‘attic’ of the mind can be a daunting task, but as you rightly pointed out, it is our fears that keep it cluttered.
