Unfortunately some people conform themselves to that surrounding behavior even knowing they have the keys to get out of that mud.

Oh, yes, that is a sad truth. They often believe that they are meant to stay there and don’t even consider themselves being entitled or worthwhile to step out of it. It is like with many things: you don’t like it but at least you know what you deal with.

I noticed, back in my 20s, how easily I turned negative because my neighbor constantly trashed her husband. When I responded in the same way about mine, she said, “Gail, you’re kind of a negative person.” That’s when the lightbulb went off and I realized how easily I fell into the same mode and stopped myself. Since then, I avoid negative people. 🤣
