The purpose of my blog is to inspire and shine a light on the beauty and power of the wonderful being inside your body. You came into this world to share what only you can give. Remember who you really are, conquer the world the way you always wanted to, and become the blessing to all of us that you were meant to be.

Erika, true but if my happiness is nurtured by helping others find the opportunity for happiness, then it is OK in my view. For example, if you give the gift of time to someone you love so they can pursue something that makes them happy – a girls weekend, seeing a play with a friend, volunteering, etc. – then that would make the time giver happy. Honey, I will take care of the kids, go see the play….

We do need to pursue happiness as well, but relationships are seasoned by give and take.

Thank you, Keith! I know what you mean. But even though your happiness comes from helping others, it is still the growing happiness inside of you. We can add logs to make the fire bigger, brighter, and warmer. But it is always something that happens inside and is generated by our attitude. The decision to do good, comes from us.

You nailed it, Beth! They should consider to look inside only one time. But many are too afraid of what they could find there and believe everything outside of them is better. Very sad! Would you allow me to quote you with this sentence: “Sometimes people spend their whole lives seeking happiness, not knowing it is right there.” I would appreciate it a lot, Beth!

It is, and that is often a reason why relationships break apart. Either the one is searching and putting pressure on the other one or pleasing and hoping to earn happiness through the other one. Both is destroying.

Very much so Erika. I even had a friend recently tell me to stop being so happy all the time, it distracts her from her anger. I thought about it for a while and realised we all need to feel both sides of our emotions so we can appreciate its opposite. So I turned up and put a real sour unhappy look on my face…and she burst out laughing. Even in my sour look you can see right through me 🤣❤️🙏
