Be mindful yes, and don’t hold back when it is necessary.

Erika, this is an excellent saying, but there is an important corollary implied. Don’t speak thoughts that are better not said or heard. Easy example. Spouses and partners quite often are better off refraining from saying a hurtful painfully true retort as you may win an argument, but lose the war. Keith

Right, that part is also included. Don’t say everything you think, while you don’t oppress your personality/character.

Erika, sometimes it is wise to suppress a behind the scenes effort. Just giving some hidden help can clear an obstacle. It is kind of a secret pay it forward. It may be an endorsement for a job or encouragement for someone to give a person a chance. Keith

That’s the diplomacy part which Colin mentioned. You can say a lot by the way you convey it – when even not with clear words. Thank you, Keith!

Erika, Mark offers good thoughts especially on diplomacy. Tact is an underutilized asset. Sadly, the US president has been gutting the number of diplomats which one foreign leader said WAS one of the US’ greatest assets. Now, this tactless president routinely offends other leaders. Keith

He ruined everything the US stood for! I was proud that we lived there years ago, that our son was born in the US. Today I am just glad that he got rid of the citizenship (due to taxes and big issues when opening bank accounts) and that we did not come back to live there forever. It is so sad, since you are living in such a beautiful country that has so much to give. I am sorry for all of our friends over there who have to deal with the situation and the reputation that has suffered dramatically. I hope that this surreal situation will be gone sooner than later. Blessings!

Ah yes ………….. tact and diplomacy are so important if one needs to express a (perhaps) sensitive viewpoint.
“Diplomacy is the art of letting somebody have your way.” (author unknown) 🙂

Diplomacy meets it well. But often there is also a dash of compassion and mindfulness added. Thank you, Colin!

Colin, I love that last ‘Diplomacy’ line. Sums up a particular level of our community, state, country, beautifully 🤣❤️🙏

Glad you liked it Mark. I included it “tongue in cheek” as it does rather conflict with Erika’s message if taken literally!

🤣 Yes, maybe just a bit. But just shows this worlds ‘conditional’ views on the opposite side of the coin that need to learn a little compassion in their journey. And we all do, and best if we are shown it from those that have learned. And probably why politicians tend to be reviled by the general population because they aren’t ‘there’ in their attitude and projecting themselves instead of ‘us’ to the world 🤗❤️🙏

An amazing thing happened when I understood my fear, I could finally hear my truth, that love within me unburdened, my thoughts clear. Beautifully written Erika, a heart clear from your journey too. Thank you for sharing her 🤗❤️🙏

Thank you, Mark! Some thoughts need to be shared. But sometimes it is better for everyone to keep that thought for oneself.

True Erika. I have no doubt that love can be tactful too. The one word that Spirit has nudged me with is…’intent’. What am I ‘truly’ trying to say. Love is built, or not, in its intent. Spoken or not. Sometimes that line in the heart can get pretty thin in its sensitivity or thick in its fearful wall. Ah…the dance of life 🤗❤️🙏

Gosh, indeed, “the dance of life”. That nails it, Mark 💖
