I would say that’s perception of reality which can often be a facet of reality, but what is real is so much bigger than what we can see.

You described that very well. We may even see part of reality but not the whole thing. There are so many filters that distort the view and also what we are interested it or not. That way we focus on particular things while we ignore others. So many realities….

Erika, I like Joseph’s addendum, as I agree with that point. We each view reality through our own lens and biases. This is why a horse wears blinders. I have shared with you the episode on the TV series “Thirty Something” where they revealed each of two couples’ version of a fight between one of the couples at a dinner party. It was fabulous in pointing out this perception of reality. Keith

Yes, yes, that is the point! Reality is subjective and based on individual perspectives. That’s why misunderstandings can easily happen. Something one does not even noticed can trigger something in another one. And out of context things get perceived even more different. That is what supports “fake news”.

Erika, when Blackberries first came out, I would see some people react to the messenger not the message. Their bias would flavor any message from certain people. I would got copied after severel back and forths, when there was not really a problem to begin with. This supports your fake news argument. Keith

That’s a good example drawn from life. I think that attitude established generally when I think of discussions on Social Media – which is a reality of its own anyway.

Amen Erika. And it clears the more we understand it. I’ve been amazed at what I can now see in understanding my fear, its almost like coming out of a cloud. More and more sunshine. Great post kind lady, may we find that clear blue sky 🤗❤️🙏
