It is like self-protection for whatever reason. But then, it only locks us up.

Erika, this speaks volumes. Fear. It gets in the way of so many things. Fear of change. Fear of the other. Fear of failure. The best way to handle fear is to face it and step into it. Keith

So, so true, Keith! I lived in fear for almost 40 years. As you said: change, failure, being questioned, being criticized not being good enough, … My life only began after I understood that fear is not real but a construct of our thoughts – when even influenced and imposed by other people. Your comment speaks volumes.

Well said. An easy example is picking up the phone to ask someone on a date, then hanging up several times as you fear rejection. Keith

We never know what could really be. But fearing something that is not keeps us from enjoying the present moment. Thank you, Mark 💖

Fear destroys so much, Sis 🙂

Totally, Sis! I just read a quote about 30 minutes ago. “Fear does not prevent you from dying, it prevents you from living.”

That is real truth, Sis!
I know fear can be a good thing, but sometimes it holds us back, too.
