February is a month I use for some “small stuff” which I don’t have time for once the year progresses. One part of that “small stuff” is checking on my blog in general, going through old posts, checking on links, clearing out my media (to make up data), and deleting what seems unnecessary. While doing it, I found a post I wrote 6 years ago – my jaw dropped for its timeliness. Here we go:
Our world is a collection of varieties. Too often we look at them as reasons for separation. That’s human in some way since we always look at the world from our own perspective. There is basically nothing wrong with that. We need that to develop individually. But there is this other side we must not forget: We all develop individually and therefore we need variety so that everyone gets served. It is neither right nor wrong, it simply is. And what is, exists for a reason.
What I may not understand may not be meant for me or maybe it is not meant for me yet. There is no reason to deny, to eliminate, to denounce. Not understanding should rather force me to figure it out because there must be a reason why it caught my attention. As long as it is not something that obviously threatens me there is no need for defense. Instead, we should stand in awe realizing what a miracle it is that there is something or someone perfectly adjusted for everybody in every given moment to prove themselves, to challenge them, to lift them, to motivate them, to explore them, to discover more about themselves, to improve them, …
Recognizing this perfect organization which not only serves the individual but at the same time a group of people or even everybody at the same time is proof that we are meant to be here. That each one of us is important and that we as a collective are important. No one is forgotten – maybe by the human mates but not by that higher consciousness that made this possible. Let’s do ourselves a favor and see this divine gift, this love, and dedicated care for every being.
Let’s reach our hands instead of breaking dreams. Let’s show our respect and appreciation for the diversity and for the endless possibilities that are given to widen our horizons. Let’s embrace it instead of pushing it away. Let’s connect instead of separate. We all have the same need: We want to live a happy life. The ways to reach that may be different but the goal is the same. Let’s grant this to others as we want it to be granted to ourselves. Let’s recognize when we begin judging whether something is right or wrong with someone or whether someone is more or less deserving. Who am I to estimate it? Most of us are not enlightened and I believe the more we dare to judge others or to think we are entitled to tell them how to live their lives, the less we are.
Let’s stop this. Let’s heal rifts. Let’s build bridges that everybody may walk over them. Let’s open our hearts and minds for the fullness of life. Let’s be menders!
Especially in these times when some people are trying to dig ditches and ravines
where we recently walked together across beautiful meadows.

Wow…just wow! THAT was a heart stopper, a wisdom a la carte, perfection personified. Erika, put that in a book, first page. A delight to listen to kind lady, it summed up a direction, a dare to follow a truth, a loving path for us all. Not a fork in that road, but paths that love created. Thank you…I’m going to be smiling all day. Thank you 🤗❤️🙏

Even more relevant today with the chaos around the world. Wars, dictatorship, cultural clashes, personal grievances , etc. We need to build each other up and put an end to judging and tearing one another down. Good repost!

Exactly, the coming months and years will show clearly that artificially separating does not solve anything. But, however, it can lead to a collective awakening which hopefully is sustainable.

Hope is good, but the good vibes need to radiate. I think it is important to be our best and show with our own deeds and attitudes the world we want to live in: Putting connecting over dividing actively, not only in the silence of our four walls.

Wow, Erika. You are so right in that this could not be more timely. I love those last lines. If only the world could understand this. Thank you for sharing!

The good thing is that those who do understand are even more steadfast in their belief and hopefully affect others by their example. The other way around won’t work anyway – at least that will be understood one day (hopefully soon).

Erika, our world is a collection of varieties. I love this. Whether it is foods, music, ideas, poetry, novels, etc., we must embrace and enjoy our differences. Keith

Oh, yes, yes, yes. Everybody can add somthing and there will always be someone who benefits from it. It is a natural give and take. That’s why we will always find what we look for. And that inspires, confirms, or at least teaches. Thank you, Keith!

Erika, those who limit of idea sources do so at their own peril.
A black man named Vivien Thomas was a major reason a surgical procedure to help blue babies was developed successfully. A man who had to hide being gay named Alan Turing is the father of modern day computing who solved the Nazi Enigma code saving 750,000 lives and shortening WWII per General Eisenhower. Finally, countries who limit opportunities for women are competing in a world with only 1/2 of their assets.

So, so true, Keith. Artificially limiting natural protentail are not interested on progress but on afraid of being outplayed. All they have is a small piece of advantage with which they identify themselves… what a tragedy for them and everybody…

Thank you, Colin. I think this reminder does not hurt from time to time. Only in uniting can we bring healing to the individual and the collective. And our differences are the seeds for continuous development.
