Erika, while it is a great metaphor, our brain is where all these thoughts and feelings occur. The heart beats faster when we are excited or attracted to someone or some thing so it appears to be the driver. Keith

I understand what you mean and I agree that with our thoughts, we can affect our feelings (which way ever). But then there are those moments when we have a feeling about something, a person (good or bad), or a decison to make and we cannot explain rationally where this “inner knowing” comes from. Also, the heart has memory cells like the brain. That’s why it is often not easy to differ between the impulse from the heart and the brain.
I am pretty sure you would like the books of Gregg Braden. It is his goal to find scientific explanation and proves for emotional and spiritual phenomenons. And he comes up with mind-blowing outcomes. More than 10 years ago I joined his workshop and that was when I understood why heart and mind should get in alignment and why we get thrown of track completely when the are not. A stunning person!

Thanks for sharing. There is a documentary movie called “I Am” about what makes us happy. It is very good. During it, a scientist noted the heart puts out an electrical signal as it beats that can be sensed by another a few meters away. So, if a person is attracted to another close by, their faster beating heart can be felt by the object of their affection. This may be why someone can sense another is looking at them and turn. So, the heart plays a role, but something got it jumping. Keith

Yes, I saw that movie many years ago. I have to see if I can stream it. Thanks for the reminder!
I think you told me about that once. That’s so amazing. The heart vibrates such an energy. That would explain too, when people feel more or less authentic or dedicated to what they do. Thanks again, Keith!
