Empty cup

My cup is empty, all coffee’s gone
But am I sad, or do I moan?
I dream of what I’d love to do
And when I know, fill it anew

Enjoy my life, enjoy my day
Decide to live my life my way
Don’t let somebody squish my joy
Too much to gain and to be blessed

My cup is empty, all coffee’s gone
It lives in all the things I’ve done
I take my cup, look to the sky
And tell my soul again to fly

I went randomly through some of my folders and found this poem from 2015. It was not even put under a poem folder. I don’t think I have shared it yet. So, I added two more stanzas and here we go.

Haha, timing. I just sat down with a full cup to begin my day. We ever fill our cups because they are empty, a desire to become something else, something more. Maybe your poem was just waiting for today to share with us and fill our day kind lady 🤗❤️🙏

Well, not only a nice cuppa but a few dolphins as well. I filmed them but as usual it is so brief. I need a nice pod playing in the waves for a while…but…any glimpse is appreciated 🤗❤️🙏

They keep catching me out. The distance is still too great for my mobile phone even if I have it with me…or, I duck inside to grab it and they are gone 🤣 But that one I got by the ocean was just a single dolphin with a brief (twice), up and down for some air. One day 🤗❤️🙏

See, here I am moaning about the ‘many’ I see and your poor soul would be glad of a glimpse. I’ll get those shots for you and make a post for those that have probably never seen one too 🤣

I think there is quite some emptiness in some hearts right now. I understand the big disappointment. Over here, we have been shocked about the result. Now we need to fill our cups anew and stand for what we believe in.
