The Unpredictable Process of Development

Have you experienced that, too? You start reading a book, and, for whatever reason, you put it aside and almost forget about it. Maybe it is because you are too busy with other things, bored, or cannot handle or understand the content. Perhaps this does not happen when you are reading a novella. But it often happens to me when reading books with spiritual content. Mostly, I don’t have the time to read a book from the first until the last page within a day or a week. But I see why the break was necessary when I retake it weeks, months, or even years later.

Especially regarding spiritual books, it makes sense to take the time to read them. The experiences we make are important to get the provided message on a deeper level. Of course, we always get a message and take it with our current awareness. Had I read it in one go, I would have missed the deeper statements. So, even when I read the same book twice, I find information that speaks even louder. The experiences I had in the meantime made me understand the matter better and also confirm it.

Isn’t this just a fantastic comparison to life? We make our experience, learn the lesson, and move on. Still, we seem to attract the same or similar challenge again, and maybe again and again. Ok, sometimes we resist, don’t want to get the lesson right away, and therefore, need to get pushed again. Yet, at times, we think we got it but still get confronted with the task repeatedly. It can be that we need to go through the same thing several times, although we want to look at it. Indeed, we may get something every time, but the actual root of the lesson may lie so deep that we have to dig toward it piece by piece. We would not get the whole meaning with the first attempt and therefore, we need several attempts. There is no reason to be discouraged because we must face something more than once. Every time it finds us, we get another chance to release a bit more to learn from what we carry inside. Just keep cooperating, and one day, all gets solved. You don’t know whether that last attempt is happening right now. So keep going!

Definitely, keep going, keep pushing ahead and keep moving forward. We learn from our previous experiences and apply that to our new/upcoming experiences. Have an awesome week ahead, Erika 🌞

So, true Erika.. I have often found some books, especially the more spiritual ones that I bought years ago I was not ready for at the time of reading in the late 80s early 90’s.. I started to read, and thought no way, this is too far out there lol.. So, they have sat on my bookshelves patiently waiting for when I was ready to digest the information.

And when we pick them up again, it is like they make perfect sense.. As we ourselves have expanded in our awareness and the ability to absorb such subjects..

I also find that the information finds us with perfect timing to help us move through our journey as we widen our perception of possibilities..

Happy Re- Reading 🙂 ❤ xx ❤ xx

I love when I exeperience that something that did not speak to me at all, all of a sudden makes complete sense. We are constantly developing and that is the prove. I too feel as if the information finds us, often when we least expect it.
Thank you, Sue 💖

It would seem fair to say that our perspectives on “life” change as we become more experienced of it (life). It therefore makes perfect sense to revisit certain situations (books, relationships, circumstances etc.) which, because of our ‘life lessons to date”, may well have a totally different impact on us.

Life is providing us with constant opportunities to learn and grow. I feel sorry for those who are so fixed in their perspectives that they will never contemplate change …. for they are missing out on so much of what life has to offer. Given that (I believe) we only get one life, it would seem so obvious that we should get as much out of it as we can.

Great post Erika.

Yes, we develop constantly and learn from several sources that makes this “learning” such a unique experience too. That’s what I said to myself too about 20 years ago: I want to make this life the life of lives. I don’t know what will come, but I know what I know now and from there I want to make the most of what I can in this current lifetime.
What else is life for than to live and to evolve. Yes, I feel sorry too when I see people who resign and think they depend on the circumstances. They will never have the life they could have, if they only sit and wait for better times.
Thank you very much Colin 🙂

Powerful words Erika, it does indeed need a re-read so we can understand later those bits we were not sure of or even misunderstood. Many have come back to speak, do a re-run or as you said…did the same event over and over in its meaning if not the encounter itself. The light of understanding will make itself known as we do.

Now if I could just understand chocolate, I’m sure there is a spiritual message in there somewhere 🤗🤣❤️🙏

Hmm, Mark, that chocolate thingy must have a deeper meaning in your life. Maybe you should take it more serious and really look as deep as you can until you reached the bottom of the box… 😅

Ah yes Mark. Consider chocolates as an analogy of life and, in order to get the maximum effect, make sure it is an assortment box. It should also be big enough for you to share yet still leaving ample for yourself. Enjoy eh!
