The purpose of my blog is to inspire and shine a light on the beauty and power of the wonderful being inside your body. You came into this world to share what only you can give. Remember who you really are, conquer the world the way you always wanted to, and become the blessing to us all that you were meant to be.
Erika, unintentional blinders we sometimes wear hinders what we choose to see.
As a former basketball player in high school, we were taught to cultivate and use our peripheral vision so we could play good defense. If you look straight ahead, you can see both the person you are covering and the player with the ball. In so doing, you moved when your player moved and could knock the ball away when passed to your player.
This is a good metaphor for seeing life. If you looked at what’s on the left, you might miss what’s on your right.
I understand what you mean and yes, we can focus on the center and still pay attention to what is happening around it. The basketball example is a very good one.
And well said, Keith, when we turn to one side, the other side is behind us.
we do ❤️

Very true. We need to allow ourselves to look beyond our hands and eyes.

Some people wear blinders, others do not. 👀🍃

I think in some way all of us wear blinders but not everyone is aware of that. And I think that can make the big difference.

Let’s take off the blinds consciously, in case we realize that we wear blinds.

Now that is so true. And those sunglasses have a huge variety of lenses Erika. May we dare the sunlight instead 😀❤️🙏

Oh, yes, I couldn’t agree more. All of those different lenses, and all claim to see the real world.

We’ll see the truth eventually Erika, that ability to see the love within ourselves and then give from that place unconditionally 😀❤️🙏
