Erika, forgiving others is a way to free your heart of hate for the action. Hate is debilitating. So, forgiving yourself must have a similar effect. Keith

Yes, both are restricting. But not forgiving yourself maybe worse, since you are never without you. However, also not forgiving others stays with one. Maybe there is no real difference. You made me think, Keith!

I think revmoving that wall of past resentments, regrets, or guilt feelings opens a whole new view on life and on oneself. But it is only possible if we realize that we don’t need to hang on to them. It is a choice!
