Where Is The Truth?
When I think, I am so smart
Perhaps I should consider
Things are more complex and I
Get lost in my own filter
The world around me only mirrors
What I think about it
It is not the way things are
But only how I shape it
There is a big truth below
The curtain of distortion
Which we are called to pull aside
By our evolution
Humbleness we need to learn
To see misunderstandings
No one ever knows it all
We learn through all our journeys
When even I do change my mind
On things I knew for long
It is a proof that other views
May not be better, right or wrong
If I want to find the truth
I have to stop the search
It lies beyond need and possession
And beneath any urge
In Love and Light

Erika, this is truly and profoundly excellent. I think it makes a huge statement about how our own filters hinder seeing more. It is akin to our wearing horse blinders. Well done! Keith

Thank you, Keith. I agree, our filters are keeping us from seeing and they have so many faces like personal experiences, expectatitons, hopes, traumas, disappointments, jealousy… As soon as we detatch from all we know, we become able to see what is.

A delight to read Erika. Heartfelt and a beautiful truth within it, because you’ve stepped beyond it. Almost channeled through your heart kind lady…or maybe Spirit paying a visit at the least. Thank you for the share 🤗🥰😀❤️🙏

Actually, I think it was channeled. It is one of the longer poems but got written by itself. It was this typical feeling of being in complete alignment while the words just appeared. Let’s do our thing and keep our eyes open. Because on the way we will find the truth we need!

This is so true.. me too along my journey, I’ve now come to realise that the truth is beyond seeking! It’s something eternal beyond what the mind can comprehend!

Isn’t it such a profound insight? We need to take a step back and everything becomes clearer. When we try to catch it, it is like a butterfly and flies off…

Thank you, Jan. We all want to find the truth and those who think the most that they got it, often get tricked by a mirage.

Truth is a tricky buddy. When we think we got it, we understand that we only got a fraction of it and may have even misinterpreted it.

Sometimes the truth is there in black and white, other times it is hidden below the surface. Good perspective, Erika 🌞

True, and only the open-minded is able to recognize it when even in steps.

Thank you, Carol Anne. I am humbled you liked it that much. The less we search, the more we may find. Because then our view is open to everything and not to one particular thing.
