Missed Chances
A chance that you missed
May not return
At least it leaves
A lesson to learn
For not to make
The same mistake again
To look closer what has
And what hasn’t been done
Maybe it served
A purpose to gain
The insight to follow
Your heart, not your brain
But following means
To lift one foot and
Put it further down
And repeat it again
A chance that you missed
May hurt once realized
But then it can be
A blessing in disguise
Sidenote: Watching these boats at the beach the poem above came to my mind.

So true. In the past I’ve spent too much time worrying about old decisions than focusing on the new ones. Never going to work that.

Exactly, maybe that old decision had to be to lead you to the place you are meant to arrive. My volleyball coach always told us: Don’t think about a missed ball, focus on what’s coming next.

Thank you, Holly. Too many opportunities are left unused, waiting for others to change someone’s life. But perhaps it is precisely this insight that is needed to bring about an inner change.

You simply understand that nothing happens in vain and that all that happens, happens to keep us evolving.
