Farewell

I’ll Never Forget You

We knew each other for so long
For about forty years
How can it be with fifty-one
That you were meant to leave

My heart is heavy, my eyes are wet
Still can’t believe it’s true
I knew about the bad disease
But this was unexpected soon

By all the pain that’s breaking through
By the flood of my tears
I couldn’t be more grateful for
Our friendship and the memories

You were a fighter all life-long
Your view only went up
Your humor and supportive way
Your life was tough, half-full your cup

You filled you years with so much life
Lived your potential fully
Got never tired to start new things
Your soul expanded truly

There’s an important lesson that
You taught us through your fight
Never give up, never postpone
And enjoy each moment of life

You lived that way throughout your life
Your zest for life increased
Yet, I stand here and wave goodbye
My friend, you will be missed

This is a tribute to a friend who passed away last Sunday. Today is the funeral.
Since it is not about me, comments are closed.
My thoughts are with his son, parents, and everyone close to him
.

The purpose of my blog is to inspire and shine a light on the beauty and power of the wonderful being inside your body. You came into this world to share what only you can give. Remember who you really are, conquer the world the way you always wanted to, and become the blessing to us all that you were meant to be.
