It is Tuesday, and I am following the romantic path today. You all know Enrique Iglesias. Do you remember his father? Here we go with one of Julio Iglesias’ hits that brought hearts to an instant melting.
Begin The Beguine – Julio Iglesias
And since the variety is so big here is another romantic song from 1981.
Jealous Guy – Roxy Music
Feel free to add or mention in the comments your favorite song of 1981 and the memory that connects you with it.
In Love and Light
One of my favourite songs is from that year BOC – Burning for you.

Julio had a lot of charm and charisma which suited him well at the time. I like both your picks! Revving up that 80s vibe.

Yes, a bit memory, a bit classic, but for sure a lot of 80s… hehe.

Haven’t heard Jealous Guy for ages either dear lady. Don’t tell anyone but I’ve been hunting through my boxes buried deep and found a list of my LP’s from yesteryear. Suzie Quatro, Creedence Clearwater, The Sweet, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, T-Rex, Slade and even an Electric Light Orchestra…and many more. Man oh man, was there some memories in there 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋 😂 🤣

Julio had a great voice but that was hardly a song that should have been in the charts. Roxy music were an excellent choice. But, In the Air Tonight by Phil Collins, Betty Davis Eyes by Kim Carnes and Winner Take it All by Abba were also great chart songs as well as others. It was the start of a good era with the New Romantics earning their place in history. The 60’s and the 80’s were my music periods when words and music mattered.
Huge Hugs for allowing me to ramble on.

Haha! Julio Iglesias was big over here. When I researched 1981 and stumbled over it, I could not resist… lol. Who knows, maybe one of the songs you mentioned might be amongst the scheduled songs this week 😉
