Forgiving cleanses our inner being and releases unnecessary weight we don’t need to carry. Great quote!

It makes room for what really matters and does not waste our time with we could have used better and healthier.

Erika, well said. This is similar to what MLK said. Hate is too debilitating to the hater. He or she needs to forgive. Keith

That’s a great statement indeed. Hate may is a strong yet weakening power for the one who sends it out. The most hate that is felt is always coming from the one who hates and affects them so much more than the recipient.

Oh, that is SO true, Erika. Nine times out of ten, the person we are holding resentment against has moved on and forgotten the whole thing, so by holding on, we are only hurting ourselves. xoxo

That nails it completely, Jan. We keep stabbing ourselves with a knife that person has dropped long ago. Very well said, Jan. Thank you💖

Right, because not forgiving is like putting yourself on a leash.

It’s tough but you eventually realise that not forgiving is wasted energy. It drains you.

That’s summed up very well, Gary. Yes, it can be very tough. It may take a while until the insight you mentioned finally begins to form. Some may even only realize it right because it is draining them.
Thank you for this wonderful comment!

That is good way to look at it and to approach it. That way we may become able to see the blessing behind the experience that led us to forgiving. Wonderful thoughts, Mark 😊🙏💖

Forgive, forget, move on!

Peraps it is not that easy to forget but if we whole-heartedly forgive we can make peace with the experience. A big process but worth to go for it 💖

Or at least file it somewhere you won’t think of it too often…

I know, what you mean. We need to find a way that it doesn’t affect us negatively, even when we think of it… forgiving, right?
