Erika, this is top of the list on narcissist’s attributes and well defines the president of the United States. An attorney who worked for Trump wrote before the election, and it has been proven time and again, here is a man interviewing for one of the most important positions in the world and does not wish to take the time to study what the job entails.

I am reading best-selling author Michael Lewis’ “The Fifth Risk,” who notes the chaos and incompetence of the Trump White House began days after the election when he fired his transition team and tossed their data vetting potential staff. The outgoing Obama administration, as required by law, developed by department briefing books on what they did and where the risks were. The majority of the meetings went unattended and briefing books were left unread. So, Lewis asked if he could read the non-classified portions which is the basis for the book.

I did not mean to make this political, but knowing how things works is crucial. I have written before, Trump’s lying and bullying have not surprised me at all. The “equal parts chaos and incompetence of his White House” has. And, that is a quote from a conservative pundit named David Brooks. Lewis agrees. Keith

Since I schedule my quotes always up to 12 days ahead, I can rarely remember which quote shows up on a specific day and what the thought was for choosing it. It is different with this quote. I thought of the US president too. It is scary how it describes him with only one sentence. Ignorance and arrogance combined in a narcissistic personality. I an still a bit shocked that Lewis’ book did not cause serious consequences for Trump. Thank you for going into detail. Always feel free what comes to your mind, Keith!

Erika, Trump has successfully told his followers that all criticism is from people who simply hate him. His sycophants are guilty of abetting this fraud on his followers. It is sad that truth has been sacrificed by this president. Keith

Very sad, Keith. Very very sad and tragic. I hope from my heart that the American people learned from this and go voting the next time, when even only to make sure Trump will not be elected anymore.

There is only one slight problem in any voting system Erika. While ever the politicians are so focused on ‘attacking’ Trump (or whoever it may be), they completely miss the point of all those Americans that voted against them. They are not happy! Why! And I mean REALLY why, not some opinionated politician just wanting everyone to look at me, look at me.
But all they do is focus on the ‘opposition’.
Nobody even believes someone who stands up and says I’m going to do this or that, because they never do. Belief has been corroded by the very system that is in place.
Until a system is brought in where the people actually get a say, and don’t get me started on our vote IS our say, then it will never change. There should be a voting system in place online where if there is such a reaction from something the politicians bring up that they actually get to vote on it, not brought in by the corruption that invented it. Because if it was for the country or the people, the people would not react to it.
The first thing to die in politics is the truth, and while ever a politician opens his mouth, even if a good politician, they must toe the ‘party line’ so all his intent is robbed.
Um…did I just write all that? I never play with politics but this being cooped up must be taking its toll, I need a good post or something to open my blocked thinking again 😂 🤣

LOL, no worries, Mark. You definitely speak for the majority who reads my posts and I cannot remember I have ever met a Trump supporter in my community. So, to totally are heard and although I am not American, I hear you too.
The voting system in the US is a phenomenon to me how it can be called democratic because it isn’t. And yes, what does the law of attraction say: Concentrate on what you want, not on what you don’t want or you will get more of what you don’t want.
Trump’s ego driven personality wants to be seen and he does everything to achieve that. The spell can only be broken if no one fuels that fire anymore but turns to those they want and give them more room.

Good speech here, Mark, have you ever thought of running for “that” job? 😄

If I may, fear sells. That is how Trump got elected. One of his main issues is immigration is causing disenfranchisement in America, but it was and is a lesser problem. The two main culprits are companies chasing cheaper labor and technology improvements costing jobs. Neither of those fit on a bumper sticker like “build the wall.”

As an independent voter and former member of both parties, both have good ideas and both have bad ideas. What I want is data based, bipartisan discussion to solve problems. Politicians used to run on rhetoric and govern off facts. Now, with 24×7 news, they govern off rhetoric. Trump did not create this era, but he clearly exploits and defines it. You are an observer and you are very informed (to say it the least). So your take is one that I can relate to very much and I understand well where you come from and where you want to go, Keith. I can assure you that what you are summing up is what is observed from over here to. Trump is not only a danger for the country he should take care of but for the relations between his and other countries and even between other countries. What others before him united he shatters.
