Due to my migraine yesterday, I slowed down a lot. When I was better and my appointments were all done I took the time to sit outside enjoying the gorgeous warm weather and I started reading one of my favorite books. I noticed how I missed those relaxed moments. I felt the flow more vividly showing up again and this poem came up. I hope you enjoy it:
One Heart
Your heart once broken into pieces
After crashing down on the floor
I saw it lying there so lonely
Perhaps someone is looking for
I picked up every piece I found
And stored it in my heart
In order not to let it die
Until I found the other part
I looked around and searched all over
Until I saw you there
I smiled and reached inside my chest
To show you how I cared
But what was that? I couldn’t find
Your heart is within mine anymore.
Because after all of this time
They grew together at its core.
I hope that you don’t mind if I
Keep your heart still inside
This way they both can stay alive
If we did part them, both would die.

I get that…actually, all we want is silence and a dark room , no ? We’re talking serious pain! 😀

Yes, definitely! Quiet and dark…. and the bathroom not too far away… It is not funny at all…. lol

Oh sorry, Erika! I hope you don’t suffer from migraines regularly. I know that can be debilitating for some. On the other hand, not feeling that pain anymore can be so wonderful and I’m glad at the end of it all you were able to write this beautiful poem.

At times it hits me …. but meanwhile I know what to expect. If it appears during the day I take something early enough. But like yesterday I woke up with it… anyway. It is over and as you say the relief is amazing.
I am happy you like the poem. So I was even a little productive … 🙂

Sorry to hear you suffer but at least it is manageable. I know many who have it much worse!
