That is so true. In fact, the other way is also true. We make our life sometimes miserable. Well acknowledgement is important. The road is wide open to be awesome. Erika! You are already awesome 😊

For myself I find awesome involves a lot of work and intentionality. My own laziness finds me settling for mediocrity. I am working on the “want to of awesome”

I am sure there are a lot of reasons to already feel awesome… and right that, makes you awesome, and might also support overcoming your laziness.

It really is about overcoming self perception isn’t it? My daughter just preached a sermon on living with half truths that keep us bound to old ways of living.

Yes, indeed, that is the “secret”. What we believe is true is what we identify with. Half truths is a good example. They can be devestating. Our inner voice, our gut feeling, or whatever we feel as a truth within us, is what we should follow. Whatever we hear or see outside, we need to check back, if we want to believe it.

I am a believer in absolute truth. I think there is a Truth that resonates at the foundation of reality. When we compare our realities to that truth we often find we are living in reality but not necessarily in truth. For instance the truth is life is sacred, yet so often I treat life….mine and others as though it was profane.

That’s a fantastic distinction. Reality and truth are NOT necessarily the same, but can be. And that is what we need to be so careful of. We live in our reality and create it in every moment. But whatever we see in this reality is a subjective perception but not necessarily a truth. So awesome that you mentioned this, Joseph!
Would you allow me to quote you with this part: “we are living in reality but not necessarily in truth.”

Yes please do. It is something we have been talking about as a church for the last couple of months.
