Erika, there needs to be a corollary here. If the wisdom makes you realize what you are being told is untrue, resistance or alternative action is needed. Just yesterday, he-who-shall-not-be-named applauded a Supreme Court Associate Justice for NOT recusing himself from a fossil fuel case after significantly increasing his wealth in fossil fuel investment while on the court. The fact the applauder said that is OK means the action needs much greater scrutiny. Keith

I think it depends on the circumstances/situation. Your example needs alternative action for sure. But when it comes to accepting ourselves with all the quirks, “failures”, and imperfections then accepting is the only way to heal and get stronger from what weakened us before.
