The purpose of my blog is to inspire and shine a light on the beauty and power of the wonderful being inside your body. You came into this world to share what only you can give. Remember who you really are, conquer the world the way you always wanted to, and become the blessing to us all that you were meant to be.

Such a beautiful and colorful picture. All the great things we could achieve together… no sadness, no pain, no hunger, no war anymore – only compassion and support. Thank you, Jan!

Erika, I had two thoughts while reading this. First, the butterfly effect – we can impact others with our own flapping of our wings. Second, is the concept of “pay it forward.” If we pay back a kindness, by paying it forward to three others, we can change things. Alternatively, we can do negative actions like the US president does and cause harm with their echo effect. Keith

Both points are fantastic, Keith. The first one reminds me of the quote of Mahatma Gandhi “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” – which is one of my life mantras. And the second is such a great thing to implement into every day. Just imagine how fast we could change everything for the better if we paid everyting back at three people. This is something I will take to heart and try to make it a habit. Thank you very much, Keith!

“I dream of a day

(Hopefully not far away)

When compassion wins in the end

We’re all human after all

We all stumble and fall

So let’s help each other up … and be friends”

  • just imagine the smiles and laughter around the world if we could be “one”. Likely not in my lifetime, but the generation behind me perhaps?????

Your words have given me goosebumps, Colin. Yes, that is the only way for mankind to survive and achieve wonderful things that we cannot even imagine today. Oh, yes, just imagine all of the happy faces that smile at each other. That way, the word loneliness will disappear. Thank you for summing this all up with your poignant poem, Colin.

Our respective paths on life’s road were certainly destined to cross! That verse was from a lengthier piece titled “My Dream” which was accepted into the 2016/2017 book Peace Poems which celebrated the International Day of Peace. My poem is on p.123 and ….. surprise surprise, immediately prior to it is a peace poem by Erika Kind! Remember? 🙂

To be honest, the lines sounded familiar and I thought it could be from that poem of yours which you also shared with me once and on your blog.
I have to check that book again. I completely forgot about it. Our poems are side by side in that book? That’s just so amazing and at the same time makes sense. Like attracts like… destined to cross in several ways 😊Thanks for mentioning this, Colin. That made me smile!
