Some days I still keep those curtains shut, such a mistake

Sometimes we need time or a break. But we must not forget that it is there – only a curtain-draw away!

Very empowering, just for the upcoming weekend, where we can improve it. 🙂 Best wishes and have a nice weekend. xx Michael

Stillness helps or is actually the precondition! Thank you, Michael and have a good weekend!

Makes perfect sense. We have to try our best to draw back the curtain and see the light of what’s shining right in front of us, hope. At least that’s what I felt of your quote. Love it. 🙂

I am happy you felt like this about the quote. I see it the same way. We come here as a divine part of the whole – perfect in its creation. And we go through this life seeing more and more of who we are. Every time again, it feels like being born anew 💖

Excellent points. You are correct.
P.S You and everyone here on WordPress has inspired me to be more transparent about feelings and emotions, since this month is mental health awareness month. If you want no pressure, for the first time I posted something different and meaningful and to help others out there who are going through the same struggles as I am.

That’s well put, Jan! With every discovery we may uncover a bit more of ourselves regarding the way we react. Thanks for your comment!

Erika, I think the second message is good, but the first part presumes (at least to me) we can never change. Exposure to more positive (or negative) influences could influence some change. Keith

Thank you, Keith. I like your always so grounded view that makes me see different perceptions.
We can “play” whoever we want to be, and change as much as we want. But who we are in our deepest existence has always been there, when even covered under the dust of thought patterns and individually perceived experiences. The longer we live the more we drop those layers that we put on in our earlier years. Later we try to dig through them because we sense that beneath is who we are. And all the changes we make, lead us there.

Erika, I hear you. And, I understand. Yet, many men and women become better people with the encouragement and support of a good spouse. To your point, maybe the spouse is helping you fulfill your capacity and reach your potential. I also recognize certain decisions I made helped change my life. A friend invited me to join a Board of Directors of an agency that helped homeless working families. My life has not been the same since. Keith

Oh, yes, definitely! We meet everybody for a reason. A spouse, a friend, a boss, your worst enemy can bring out “the best” in you or forces you to enter spaces in yourself you wouldn’t have without them. Therefore, I love your story of the agency that helped homeless people. Such happenings can indeed be life-changing. Or when I think of my father’s death. I felt responsible to protect my mother and take care that she doesn’t fall in desperation. All of a sudden, I had to take responsibility I always tried to avoid. Thanks for that input, Keith!

I am enjoying these thoughts. They take me down familiar pathways that I have not travelled for a while.

It is interesting that sometime we get so distracted by our progressing life that we indeed forget the good path we have walked and which felt so right and good. However, I am glad that this post worked like a reminder to take you back on that pathway, Joseph.
