It is a natural process of development. Don’t stress yourself out, Carol Anne. Sometimes you need to skip and delete some e-mails to be up-to-date anymore. I turned off my e-mail notifications about new posts… they were flooding my inbox and I was afraid I could overlook important e-mail. I go only through the post reader and read as much as my time lets me.
