It would be so easy to simply make a different choice.

Thank you, Carol Anne. I am glad you like it. These are Gary’s words when he commented on on one of my posts. He nailed it, didn’t he?

Indeed they can Gary, and we’ll get there. It just takes a little acknowledgement on their part and the courage to admit that damage and begin to repair it. All else is hedging their bets against their fears…or greed…or both. And yes, I too buy things or use things that are adding to it. Gradually I’m obtaining more ‘green’ things to reduce my footprint…but for the life of me their research into things that will truly make an impact is being throttled by the power of the oil and petrol cohorts. But the pressure is building against them. Thanks Erika 😀❤️🙏

I think no one is acting completely green. It is simply impossible since the conditions are not given to do what we would be willing to do. But still, if everyone does their best to leave, as you say, their footprints as small as they can that is already a lot which would bring a dramatic change.
I am separating litter completely. I am limiting my flights to only one a year. We put a solar system on our roof and bought an electric car (I I still mourn my Dodge Durango, but we had to do something). So we are basically producing our own electricity and fuel for the car. It doesn’t work that well during winter but still, it relieves the public power supply at least a bit more. That is far from the final solution but it is at least some part we can do from what we know and can apply today 💖

Well done Erika, it is an actual intent and proceeds accordingly. It is those that lead us and say one thing and do another that make it more difficult. Just as long as they don’t want me to give up chocolate…a Dodge Durango I can understand 🤣
I’m sorry, it does test us in so many ways. I tell you what, In total sympathy I won’t eat chocolate for a … ah… um… an
hour,day,week,m-m-m-month! 🤣❤️🙏LikeLiked by 1 person
Yes, true! Some are preaching water but are drinking wine (as we say here). Yes, sigh… It needs sacrifices from all of us. I only hope, it never concerns chocolate, Mark… lol

For sure, my friend! Now, how to convince people to turn around and repair the damage is the next question!

I love Gary’s words. I think, if the decision is made to make this world a better place the motivation is there to do everything to make it happen.

Agreed … the key, though, is to get people to sit up and take notice of the world around them … too many are so focused on their own tiny corner of the world that they fail to notice the bigger picture, the world around them.

Yes, that’s true. Some may even notice but their short-term view and maybe their attachment to money make them blank it out. We must not stop and keep spreading awareness plus being a role model as much as we can. Many make the excuse that they alone cannot make that dramatic change which is nothing more than excuse. If all those would do something in their little world, it already had a huge effect.

Sadly, humans seem to have a problem with worshipping money, and that often clouds their vision. I like what you say about people using the excuse that they alone cannot make dramatic change. Roger and I were just commenting yesterday about being a small stone making only a ripple in the pond, but that so many ripples eventually add up to a wave!

The more we need to keep up making our ripples and inspire others to join in. Every big change, started small but with a lot of determination.
