#JustAThought… When Dreams Come True

For whatever reason, when I thought about today’s post, I had this thought in mind. What does it mean, or how do we feel about it when a dream comes true? My first thought was: it’s amazing! But after letting it sink, I realized there is so much more about it. In the following, I will list a few things that come to my mind regarding a dream fulfilled or one about to come true. There is no particular order.

When a dream comes true, it’s:

  • uplifting
  • exciting
  • life-changing
  • scary
  • demanding
  • strengthening your self-esteem
  • going along with responsibility
  • opening new perspectives
  • mind-changing
  • confirming
  • making you feel important and seen
  • throwing you into the cold water
  • causing loneliness
  • causing happiness
  • causing fear
  • overwhelming (both ways)
  • demanding personal commitment
  • a lot of work
  • insecurity
  • security
  • a burden
  • fulfilling
  • giving your life a new meaning
  • encouraging
  • surreal
  • taking one to new territories
  • inspires new dreams
  • showing that there is more possibility than we might think

What else comes to your mind about how a realized dream can appear? Please, feel free and add your thoughts in the comments.

And here is my favorite song regarding “Dreams”

In Love and Light

The purpose of my blog is to inspire and shine a light on the beauty and power of the wonderful being inside your body. You came into this world to share what only you can give. Remember who you really are, conquer the world the way you always wanted to, and become the blessing to all of us that you were meant to be.

For me, fulfilment comes to the front. But also doubt. Though I felt fulfilled when I published my first story collection (a dream come true), doubt also crept in. Was it right? Would anyone like it? What if…what if…?
I’m pleased that the latter soon faded.

I am completely with you. When I was a teenager, I wanted to become a famous singer. When I had my first performance I asked myself why I am doing this… I was so anxious. That feeling accompanied me for many years but it never kept me from living that dream of being a singer! So, I hear you!

I don’t think so. We only need to accept everything as one whole. That is not necessarily negativ plus positive. But simply everything is part of the fulfillment and its development. But yes, if you go right, you cannot go left at the same time. That is how we shape ourselves by our decisions.

The one that always stands out is to find that love and happiness in my life, but not knowing how to achieve it Erika. I tried many things but even after achieving so much, I never seemed to touch what I was looking for. But…when it came it gave me something so far beyond what I could even imagine, and that it has always left me in a state of being so profoundly blessed that I can’t even put into words what it gave. And all I had to do was dare to look into my heart and seek out and understand what my fear had blocked it with. And when it opened in that understanding, there isn’t another thing on this world I would change it for. To finally realize that each and every step I had taken had paved the way to find exactly what I had been looking for…if I just dared to look. So how did I feel? I truly cannot put into words that beauty…but the love it is written in is something that is living within us all. May we dare to set it free ❤️🙏

Maybe finding love within is the biggest dream that could come true and one that would solve the problems in this world instantly. Because then we would care for one another and everything around us. With love in our view we would see the gift of life, its wonder, magnificence, and greatness of creation.

Most certainly Erika, the change would be like night and day. But maybe that is what this world is for, this is the mixing bowl so that we can understand and achieve that place of love within us. And then in doing so achieve that place called heaven with all of its love ‘up there’ after finding it down here. Maybe if we ‘fix’ this place, then we would take away all others opportunities to find ‘their’ love within them 😀❤️🙏

Thank you kind lady…as a guidance it may but I know each of us will find those answers within us. Love knows no other way but to tap each of us on the shoulder and give us courage to ask those questions and take those steps. And in understanding and accepting that love within us, IS that unconditional love we look for all around. May we all hear that loving whisper within kind lady 😀❤️🙏

You say it, Jan. Fulfilled dreamss can take us to the highest levels but also to the scariest abyss. Having dreams keeps our lives evolving and vivid.

You covered a range of emotions and feelings. The excitement when you’re closing in, the sense of fulfillment and encouragement to dream on. Great post to start the week.

Oh my goodness, Erika. You put so much thought into this post. Your list of what dreams comprise of I believe covers from A to Z. Wow!! Dreams in my experience come in very unexpected ways, very rarely the way we THIINK they will come. Most of my dreams for this present NOW comprise of changing patterns that still are not aligned with love. And when we do that, the world opens in ways that is truly miraculous. We create our lives …. to wrap our heads are that!? Wow!! Much love to you, dear friend!! xoxoxo Excellent post!!

I can so relate to what you said. Many of my dreams were fulfilled before I realized they actually have been dreams. But that is what I love about being authentic (as good as possible), everything that matches us will be attracted only by being who we are. And as you said, love is the glue between us, and any dream to be realized. The thought or desire alone does not suffice. It needs that strong energy that connects both points.
Thank you so much for reading and leaving such a wonderful comment, dear Amy. I always love your thoughtful comments. Much love to you, dear friend 💖

Erika, this post is dreamy (I could not resist).

As I was reading , I was reminded of science fiction books from two centuries ago by H.G. Wells and Jules Verne. Just think of how many of their fictional stories created an appetite for those who dreamed big and made things happen. Deep water submarines, space travel, fighting in air, scientific experimentations on people, global travel, time travel, aliens visiting earth, etc. all were written about. Time travel may still be in the future, but other things are not. I will let you decide about the alien visits.

Speaking of aliens, more recently, we could look to Star Trek from the 1960s and how many of those things came true – talking to a computer, hand-held communications, lasers, robotics, etc.

Dream big. Make goals. Go for it.

Absolutely, Keith! Every new invention, discovery, or progress, in general, could/can only happen because someone had a vision or a dream he pursued with all his passion and believed in. As you said, so much in former science fiction movies is a reality today. Or simple things like airplanes… one day impossible today a regular transportation vessel.
