Love To The World
Christmas season has begun
Opens my heart more
Makes me feel the love around
Stronger than before
What I feel now is nothing new
It has been here all time
But only when we open up
The light can fully shine
It’s not the light in others that
We feel stronger these days
It is our own love we recall
That’s been in us always
Let’s let it shine, let’s let it warm
Let’s give this world a lift
Let’s have an open ear and door
An open hand to give.
Maybe we can’t change this world
But perhaps we can
Let’s join in, it’s worth the try
We can only win

The idea of changing the world starts with our own heart, our own actions. This time of year reminds me just how much the simplest of gestures has an impact that is a ripple effect. Kindness and compassion, empathy and patience. These are the gifts our hearts to be shared always!

Sadly, I’m seeing less and less of it. My husband ALWAYS opens the car door for me and people notice because they usually say something. Funny story, though. Sooo, I went on a girl’s day trip of shopping, lunch, and travel. Every time we arrived somewhere I found myself waiting for her to open my car door. Thankfully, I remembered I needed to do it before she mentioned it. 🤣🤣🤣 Yeah, I know. I’m spoiled. 💕

By expressing ourselves about pursuing tolerance and love for each other, and offering a helping hand wherever we can, we can only win. We may never see the world we dream about, but getting just a little closer to it is a win. 🙂

You said that well, Colin. What we give always leaves something for ourselves. We can only give love, and all that goes along with love if we feel this love in us before. So, we do ourselves a big favor if we give love to this world. As you said, every little step helps 😊
