#PeaceSongTuesday

Really? Then I am even more glad that I shared it today. The song was written because of the opening of the East, the end of the Cold War, and the fall of the Berlin Wall. A new era had been started at that time. It was played everywhere as a freedom song. But you know the Scorpions, don’t you? “Still Loving You” for example.

The Scorpions are a vague recollection, but I guess the heavier sound was not my thing. The “Wall” came down in 1989, and I remember it well but, again, I don’t recall the association with that song. Perhaps they did not get much playing time in Canada? Regardless ……..great song, and I now have it (along with “Send Me An Angel”!) in my collection. ๐Ÿ™‚
