Look Behind You
A heart that’s holding so much love
Love that wants to be shared
But what to do when the vessel
To pour the love in is not there?
You walk around with your full heart
So heavy from this love
At some point, you stop and sit down
Since, moving forward gets too tough
Now finally, you get some rest
In trusting that all will be well
It’s when you turn around and see
That it’s there: the vessel
Walking around just made you walk
Away, gave you a different view
‘Cause what you tried to find so hard
Already walked right behind you
In Love and Light
Your inspirational writing is beautiful and so needed these days! ❤️

I really enjoyed your poem, Erica, which shows me that there are more possibilities to find the right thing, or person in life, if you walk away from your starting point!:) Many thanks

Once that vessel arrives it connects to your heart and never detaches, no matter what. Lots of emotions flowing this poem, wonderful writing.

Exactly, when the puzzle pieces are put together they match and hold them together. Thank you, I am glad you liked it, Sylvester!

Erika, very clever. I needed to re-read it to gain the full flavor. To me, she (or he) was looking too, then they finally cross paths and notice each other. Keith

That’s a nice way to look at the other person. In my imagination, they were accompanying them (from a far of even close), until they were seen when that one soul was ready. But I love your view which is very realistic. A magical meeting when both turn around at the same time. I like that! Thank you, Keith!

And it just showed itself to me by doing just that…to look behind me…as I was so distracted by what was in front of me. It had been there all the time, I was just not able to see with my blinkers on.
Very beautiful Erika, now I can appreciate what it took to find it ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋

We are so busy staring into one direction, forgetting that there are so many more directions to look at where we find what we seek or what is meant for us. I am happy you dropped your blinkers, Mark 😊
