In winter, the nights are longer and the sunlight has only a few hours
to illuminate the day.
The forests may seem barren because the deciduous trees
have dropped their leaves.
But it is precisely this that allows the available light
to shine much more penetratingly.
Could this also be applied to life?

No matter how long the darkness in our lives seems to last, the light of our hope and faith will shine through the seams and cracks untill the darkness is illuminated completely. Deeply insightful thoughts you presented today Erika. The light will always shine on and through you.

It will shine though all of us. Sometimes we only forgot to open our eyes. The light we are will never extinguish. Thank you for your wonderful comment, Sylvester!

It definitely will shine through us all and when we come into this awareness the darkness will only resemble a light shadow. Our lights will never extinguish, true! You are very welcome always!

Beautiful, Erika!
For our human minds, it does seem we appreciate the light so much more after a period of darkness. I believe many of us are enjoying a new beginning and a feeling of hope.
Many Blessings,
Lisa xoxo

It is as you say. I believe, it is the reason we incarnate here. Who we really are is pure light. But when you are standing in the sun, how can you recognize your own light?
Thank you so much for your wonderful comment, Lisa 💖

When I venture into the shadows of self, I carry my light with me to shine upon the truths I encounter there. We all have these parts that we judge and deem unworthy yet once we can bring them into the light, integrating them into our wholeness a magic happens. We become illuminated by all the pieces of our soul. Soul doesn’t hold just the good aspects. Soul desires every bit of us without judgment, with complete and total love.
Your poem here reminds me that even in winter when nature is darker, nothing is blooming and the world is still, we need that time for rest and rejuvenation. To discover more truths in the shadows. That’s why I say, “In light and in shadow, always with love”. As a shaman we believe all parts of soul are valuable, not just the light aspects. Both serve our being’s wholeness. Beautiful picture paired with thought provoking wonder today dear Erika. Love to you ❤

Good news, i enjoy very much, Erika! I had slept most of the weekend! Looking out of the windows is not very effective, these days. 😉 Thank you, and please stay save! Every country now seems to create their own virus strain. Here they are predicting all of Germany can be vaccinated till end of September. Lets hope till this time the state will be called like in the past. 😉

That looks good, actually! I don’t know when we are that far but hopefully by the end of the June.

Erika, beautiful metaphor. The light is there if we only look. Keith

That’s the crucial point! As long as we are lamenting about the darkness we only focus on darkness. It is a choice to look at the light and then we will always see it. Thank you, Keith!

Very wise words Erika, you are right. It does take that darkness in our lives to help us find our light. Like everything else we must have its opposite so that we can truly understand and appreciate what we do have 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋

Absolutely. When we shed excess baggage from our lives, not only does it give us a lift, but we allow more light to shine through.
