While looking through my documents I found this little story. I was helping my friend test his website and thought why not having fun while testing and wrote the story as part of the content. It may sound like a kid’s story but it is on the ironic side – kind of ironic spirituality. I hope you have fun!
The (very short) Story of Kathy Caterpillar!
Kathy was a beautiful light green caterpillar with red spots on her back. She was a happy caterpillar and did what caterpillars do all day long: Eating! In the rare moments, she wasn’t eating she sometimes sat on the top of a leaf and watched all the wonderful flying creatures. Oh, how she wished, that she too could be able to fly around that lightly. But she was a caterpillar and caterpillars can’t fly. So she kept on eating and eating because she was always so hungry. One day she was so tired of all that eating and got frustrated of being such a thick round heavy creature. She said to herself: “I don’t want this life anymore. It is only bothering me by showing me what I don’t have and what I don’t want to be.” And she started to wrap herself into a puppet for not having anything to do with the outside world anymore. But as we know: “Right, when the caterpillar thinks the world was over it, becomes ….a butterfly!” One day Kathy woke up from a deep sleep and freed herself from the tight puppet. When she was at the outside again she couldn’t believe what she saw when she looked down at her body. “Oh my God, my dream has come true. It really did. Now I can fly around with all these other creatures. I am a beautiful butterfly….”
“Yep, and very delicious…” said the bird!
What do we learn from Kathy’s story? Just be happy with what you are and what you have and most of all: Cherish the moment… lol
In Love and Light!
Oh, Erika, this so cute. A little children’s tale but also enjoyable for adults. There is also a book called The Hungry Caterpillar…not sure if you are familiar with is but it’s very popular in the states. Now that we have brought up the whole subject of caterpillars, it just seems endless!

Lol… glad you liked it. I wanted to keepnit like a kid’s tale but with a bit of a morbid ending…. which is not so much for children… also because the ‘beautiful’ message gets pretty ironic… lol
Ther is alsonthat saying: When the carepillar thought the world was over it became a butterfly.
