Welcome to another summer Tuesday. Regardless of the weather (which is just incredible while I am scheduling this post) this song IS summer! Happy Tuesday, everybody!

Not Ignoring You But…

… this week was a bit on the crazy side. I worked more hours in my employed job, and there was also more to do in my self-employed job, next to some private stuff that squeezed in. However, I threw everything overboard and enjoyed some hours at Lake Constance (Swiss lakeside) this afternoon. It has been boiling hot and humid today again. So, it was just great to walk a little along the shore, empty the mind, and later enjoy some cool treats. And I needed this break to charge my batteries.

Hi, everyone! What about some songs which don’t only spread a good feeling and give a lift but also take us along into a world where we can leave our worries behind and find distance to those we used to hang on to. And what songs could work better than Disney songs?

I think all of us make good use of some distractions from the current #1 theme. Why not sharing something funny, uplifting or beautiful (at least) once a week. It can be a joke, a picture with a beautiful view from the area you live or a place you like a lot, a song, a video, a story or whatever comes to your mind. It only needs to be positive with only positive words.

Life In A Flash – Geoff Le Pard

In early December our wonderful and generous Geoff Le Pard (whom I was blessed to meet in person at the UK Blogger Bash in 2016) sent me two of his books. Read here. It took me a bit to start reading since I had a lot on my plate during the past weeks. But I am happy to present a little review. It wouldn’t be me if I did not do it my way. Thank you so much, dear Geoff, I was laughing so hard at times!  Read more ›

Irony: Being Negative Can Be So Much Fun!

It was a foggy day when I wrote this post. No ray of sun and really cold. All frozen for days. Opening windows in the morning and letting some fresh air in had become a challenge for someone who is cold so quickly. I cannot stand the cold. I also cannot stand when it is dark in the morning. Then thinking of another day below that high fog without any ray of sun, … my thoughts seemed to enjoy going to all things that bothered me like the busy time ahead in that week and all those things that recently made my abdomen cramp, and much more. Romantic Tuesday – Valentine’s Day

You want to be my Valentine?

You want to be my Valentine?
Let me instruct you that we’re fine

I don’t need flowers every day
But would appreciate it anyway

My favorite colors: blue and green
For bags and scarfs as you have seen

Don’t get confused, it is bright white
For Diamonds, more sparkling in the light

When you are taking me for dinner
Let us enjoy the night as sinners

Because there’s only one each day
No need for greed, be happy and pay

Vacation is a difficult matter
Please pick a place without a flag there

Oh, darling, I melt from your charm
It’s time to carry me on your arms

I think we have all clarified
But what’s with you, are you all right?

Hey, my babe, where are you running?
I’m still waiting for that D-ring

Oh there he goes, what can I say?
I hoped it would turn out that way

Needed something not too mean
To finally get rid of him

Weekly Review

It’s Friday! After a long break do to my absence I am back with another review. This a review of 3 weeks. I hope I don’t forget anything. As you know a lot happened in my life during the past 3 weeks and I couldn’t be any happier about it. But let’s get started!

Best of

The post with the most views is: A Two Weeks Review Of Gratitude And Blessings

The best that happened during the past weeks for sure was my trip to and through the States in general. I already posted some times about it and I don’t want to bother it with a repetition of the whole story. If you did not see it yet, here is my review on that:  A Two Weeks Review Of Gratitude And Blessings

Marissa Bergen posted in her own special Marissa-way about the meeting of her, Carolina, Corinne and I. Please read her poem  To Find Ms. Kind. You need to know that after our meeting I drove down from above Hollywood to Newport Beach. The highways lead right through Los Angeles and it was Friday at 5 pm. The best was to take a nap right on the highway because it turns out as the world’s largest parking lot! Instead of 1 hour 15 minutes, it took me almost 3 hours to get home. Now see what Marissa made of it!!! She is amazing!

Another highlight has been learning about the Blogger Bash in London on June 11 2016! Hey, folks! This is the chance to meet a whole lot of other bloggers you already know from WordPress or make new friends. I cannot wait to meet many of my English friends and hopefully a whole lot from other countries too! Here is the post with the first information: The BASH is BACK! The Second Annual #BloggersBash 2016

Annual Bloggers Bash Is BACK

Joe of Joe Writes His Wrongs posted a wonderful video yesterday! He is released from prison for about two months and it is amazing how hard he is working on his future. He is highly motivated to go through all the challenges and I know that he makes it! No doubt about that. Please check out the video. It is not even 5 minutes!

Thank You

When Carolina, Marissa,  Corinne and I met Carolina gifted all of us with a uniquely created jewelery. She picked each component she used related to the person she made it for. This way each piece has its own meaning. Whenever I think of it, it moves me again deeply how much love she incorporated into each creation. Yesterday she posted about the three creations in Jewelry Designs Meanings and Friendship… turquoise-shell-necklace1a

Another big Thank you goes to Kruti for her effort to meeting me in Dallas and for her lovely gifts! Thank you for your amazing friendship, for your openness, trust, and the love you share with us. You are a gem, dear sister! I am happy and proud to have you in my life!IMG-20151028-WA0012

A huge Thank you goes to Linda and her family. Linda invited me to stay with her in Louisiana and already her excitement about our meeting and my visit touched me a lot. Her hospitality and that lovely welcome by her and each family member is a gift with no money to buy. You, your husband, your sisters, and of course your mother are some of the most loving and cordial people I have ever met in my whole life. That I may call you my friends or even family is an honor and joy I will never be able to express! Thank you!

Sandra of A Momma’s View invited to leave links either of your own blog or posts or of those from other people in order to share them with others. Please take the chance and head over to  Time to Mingle. Thank you, Sandra. This is  such a thoughtful way of supporting and connecting!

And of course: THANK YOU STARBUCKS!!! Not only that we had a wonderful time at your place, I enjoyed your creations for 2 weeks as much as possible! 91324-I-Love-Starbucks-GifAwards

Thank you for 3 awards:

The Respect Award and the Infinity Dream Award from Amaya of Life Of An El Paso Woman

Another Respect Award from Robert Goldstein

New Blogs I Follow

Corinneonline This is the first time I follow a blogger after I met her in person. I did not know Corinne before but I am happy I was introduced to her. She is another amazing woman I am proud of to be connected to and to call my friend.

Sacha Black Sacha is the organizer and founder of the Blogger Bash! If you are interested in the gathering you better follow her to stay informed!

Just a thought

Whatever invention and new technology was developed can be used in either way. Although often misused Social Media is a gift go me. The connections and friends from all over the world we make here on WordPress to me still is the vivid vision of how the world could look like: tolerance, respect, support, compassion, acceptance, open minds, sharing, love, peace…! There are millions of WP users. When we are connecting  in the real world we are spanning a net of awareness around the globe. We are role models in displaying and honoring everybody the way they are. We ignite the flame of awareness that together we can make this world a better place and prove that everybody in their unique appearance gives something special and important for the benefit of all, to make this world feel whole, and to make this a humanly place. Let’s prove that peace is not only a wish but an attitude, a state of mind. We are all brothers and sisters! We all want to be loved… so let’s love.
Happy Friday to all of you!

A Two Weeks Review Of Gratitude And Blessings

I heard sceptic voices regarding meeting bloggers in person because of a possible disappointment. My own experience was nothing like that at all. I did not have any expectations about the wonderful people I was going to meet. They already captured my heart for months and I dare to say that we did know each other by heart. That is why it was not necessary that any ice needed to be broken. There simply was no ice. We all embraced each other with arms wide open! We laughed and joked about all the things we were posting about. It truly were meetings between old friends! I am already thinking about my next trip. I will make it an effort that at least once in my life I want to embrace the people I call my friends, brothers, and sisters! Read more ›

Friends, Union, Beaches, and More

When I came back from my vacation last week I mentioned that I am already preparing for my next trip… an even bigger one. Now the time has come!

When you are reading this I am already on my way or actually up in the air heading towards the US.

OK, before I enjoyed my 10 hour flight I had to go trough the usual procedure…. which is always 10 steps tougher than any other flight (perhaps hot the Middle East).6719404-115976967_27-v1

Anyway, if you want to fly to the States you have to ignore any thoughts or feelings of privacy. Got used to it… Back to the reason of my trip:

My lovely and humorous friend, Linda of Nutsrok, invited me in the beginning of this year to visit her. We had some great chats and knew that we need to meet one day.  So this day has come pretty soon as it seemed. I am looking forward not only to meeting her but also her lovely family she is always writing about. I cannot thank Linda enough for her generous offer which I accepted with pleasure.

No, that is not her family but you will  understand the context right away.dallas-altstars-moegen-das-29428_big

Linda and I will drive to Dallas and guess who we are going to meet there? Our lovable and soulful Indian friend Kruti of 10 Evening Flowers. Kruti and I were talking about how beautiful it would be meeting for about 10 months. She moved to Texas just 1 month ago. Things fell into place and we take the chance!  Btw.  Kruti is a published author. She writes amazing short stories! Her writings in general are deep and insightful.

After leaving at Linda’s I fly over to ……………. yes…………. you guessed it: To California! How could I be in the States and not visit my favorite spot in the whole wide world? (Psst, Rich, they have Pizza Hut here, shall I break something?)

I will meet three of my blogging buddies there too: ………………………………  drum rolls……………………… Marissa of Glorious Results of a Misspent Youth ………………………………  drum rolls……………………… Carolina of Yesterday After……………………….. drum rolls………………………. Kevin of The Screenplay of Life Chronicles. All of you who know the four of us might be able to imagine what that means: I think you will hear us laughing and chatting wherever you live!

Again I ask you for your understanding. This time I might not even be available for days. I am depending on free WiFi and will be on the go all the time. I might not be posting spontaneously. What you will find is scheduled. If ever I get the chance I will reply for sure. I also apologize in advance for probably not reading any posts.

Take care all of you and don’t forget about me. I will share all my wonderful impressions, meetings, and experiences with you when I am back in 2 weeks.

When English takes over…

Lately I started a random series about my adventures with the English language in a world that speaks German. English has become a part of my life when we moved to Buffalo 17 years ago. A few years after we were back again I started a daily email conversation with my best friend for a quite a while who lives in California.  Since May 2014 I am running this blog and my daily working hours on it are increasing. Meanwhile I can say that I spend 90 percent of my time in English rather than in German. That can be a little tricky… Read more ›

Song of the Day

The reason I post this song today is NOT the song itself. It is the singer. I recently heard that song on the radio and saw his name showing up and thought “Wait! What?”. Song of the Day!

It is Easter Sunday, Spring is showing up more and more on the northern part of the globe, and our feelings are starting to bloom according to nature. Today I was looking for a song that meets this expression of a new beginning, of feeling ourselves in a new way, of a breakthrough within ourselves… A song that says THIS IS ME  and I am perfect the way I am. From now on there is no hiding of my light but shining it out into the world. I am who I am! That’s my power, that’s my gift and whoever wants a piece: feel free to take it. Read more ›

It expresses this yearning which I feel when I am not there. That’s one of THE classic songs for me which I will never get tired to listened to. Read more ›

Need a break!

I am still about to put all my tweets back into my TweetAdder account which I accidentally deleted two days ago. I found out that I had a lot over 100 tweets stored in there…. I guess I will simply stop at 100 since I currently add the latest anyway. So what, I just thought I’d take a break and “smell the (not yet blooming) flowers along the way”. I am sitting outside on my patio writing this post. The weather is gorgeous. We are far within the 60s today. I feel blooming myself. Read more ›

The Consequence for being unconcentrated 😬

Whatever we do we should do with the focus on what we do, right? I totally agree with that. But although I know I often want to get things done faster… One unconcentrated moment or one single click can cause more work than simply invest one concentrated minute more. Read more ›

Back home – Yippie!

What a day! We had to leave early for the annual check of my baby, which means: my car! The place we had to drive it to is 1 1/2 hours from where we live, close to Zurich in Switzerland. The car we have is an imported American car and therefore we have to go to special places for doing those checks. So we arrived there a little before 9 o’clock got the replacement vehicle and took off to a mall closer by. I would have rather been strolling around in Zurich at the lake since the weather was too gorgeous but that would have taken too much time. I wasn’t so much in the mood for shopping but anyway we had to do something with the time.  Read more ›

Yeah, summer – Song of the Day

When I heard this song today I started dancing. That’s a song that makes me feel summer, beach, lightness, relaxation, happiness. It kind of fills my heart with light.

Now when you look outside and see the first signs of spring just dance and let the good vibes fill you with anticipation for the upcoming warm season. (If it doesn’t look like spring outside then close your eyes and imagine it… winter is coming to an end.) Whatever is pulling on you through these times just pause for a moment and remember that life is so much more.  Read more ›

Spring has come!

Yesterday was the most beautiful day of the year. We had temperatures in the lower 60s already. I went outside not only for feeding the guinea pigs but simply for sitting on my bench in the garden, enjoying the sun, the twittering of the birds, and the air which smelled like spring. Read more ›

Tidbit Tuesday!!!

I just remembered a happening during my school time. Since it is Tuesday I thought I’d make it a tidbit.

I was 15 and the darling of one of our teachers. Whenever the class wanted something they pushed me to convince him which mostly worked out. I did not feel well because I never wanted to abuse others… but when it served the purpose and nobody got hurt… 😉 Read more ›

Tidbit Tuesday – another try 😉

First of all I am happy to announce that yesterday was my best day of views since I started this blog last May! I thank you all so much for how you make this blogging adventure a wonderful part of my day and my life!

Since a lot of you might have liked my  first Tidbit last week I found a friend a little disappointed when I told him that I won’t share one each week. Since I cannot look into sad eyes (not even imagined) I opened my little treasure box, digged a little deeper, and … here we go.

I was 12 or 13  and part of a choir of children between 8 and 16 years of age. Our choir and one of another part of the country went to an event to Bâle (Switzerland) for a big singing event with television recording. I don’t remember what it was but it doesn’t matter for the story anyway. During the day we were strolling around in groups through the city supervised by a grown up. It was fun but for some reason we did not really find a connection to the kids of the other choir. At night we stayed at a youth hostel – up to eight kids in one room. I was lucky. We were just four in a room. Next to us a group of kids of the other choir. During the night they were like having a big party going almost all night long. I was angry because I was tired and wanted to sleep.

When I woke up in the morning I found myself in a lower bed, although my bed actually was a loft bed. I was lying in that bed with my feet on the floor. As if I was sitting and then just lay down. When I looked around I was shocked. Where were I? I finally realized that I was in the neighbour room .Shocked-Face

I had no idea how I got there. Thank God everybody was asleep. I tiptoed out of the room and hurried to my room next door. I laid in my bed and just hoped that no one had noticed anything. I had no explanation but the one I must have sleepwalked. (I experienced that one more time, which was less scary for me but more for my mother.) When everybody was slowly awakening a friend asked me where I was. She said she woke up at night but my bed was empty. I said that I went to the restrooms once and that it must have been that time though… I was afraid to be asked by one of the neighbour room kids. But thank God they might not have noticed me. 😌

Well that was really disturbing! Just to make sure: That was the only time in my life I did not know how I got into another bed… lol

Christmas Vacation

Hello all together. Hope you had a holly jolly Christmas.

Over here we celebrate Christmas on December 24 in the evening. My husband and I and even the kids still love to indulge our family tradition: In the morning I go around and give away some presents to poor families or kids who have to stay in the hospital over Christmas. For lunch we have potato salad and a variety of sausages. In the afternoon we are going to the theatre watching a movie and when we come home we lighten the candles on the tree play Christmas music and exchange presents.

This year we thought we take a brief time out. We sticked to our tradition on the 24th but on the 25th we drove to Tyrol (Austria) and spent two days in a Wellness hotel. After my busiest year ever I enjoyed it to the max to only relax and slow down. We arrived at the most beautiful spring weather and the next day everything was covered with snow.  Here we go with the photos:

Can you see the house up there within the woods?20141225_135855

Now some pictures to see the difference (about 20 hours) of with and without snow:20141225_14040320141226_103850

This way we had white Christmas!!!20141226_104953

When we arrived at home there was barely snow but it started snowing in the evening and this is how it looks like right now….

… a dream of silence and peace. These moments are the reason why I started to love winter!

Enjoy the rest of the year, enjoy your friends and family but most of all enjoy YOURSELF!

Enjoy the path to your goals!

Christmas Market in Lindau (Germany)

First of all I apologize that I wasn’t able to read and react to your posts over the weekend. We had problems with our internet connection. Thank God I already scheduled my regular posts for this week. Anyway, internet is back and I am happy to share our weekend event with you.

On Saturday my husband, my mom and I went to one of our favorite Christmas Markets in Lindau. The city lies at the lake Constance. The market is located right at the historic harbor. It is a beautiful scenery. Although there were more people than we ever experienced we enjoyed it more than ever. We really love it. Also about in the middle we always stop and enjoy a hot punc, a hot chocolate or a hot spiced wine. Read more ›

Visiting St. Nikolaus

In Central Europe we have a tradition. On December 6 we celebrate St. Nikolaus. On that day kids are visited at home from St. Nikolaus and his helper Krampus. Nikolaus is reading in his big golden book where everything is noted down what the kids did good and less good. Also Nikolaus gives the kids a bag with treats and little presents (prepared in advance by the parents). That’s the classic way.

For a view years now we have “The Nikolaus in the woods”. Last weekend we visited our Nikolaus again. We used to go with our three kids, but meanwhile it is the seconed time that my husband and I are fostering this tradition. Therefore we need to take a walk into the woods not far away from where we live. Read more ›

Christmas: The Holiday of Love!

Why do I love Christmas so much? I think it is the same reason why most of you (the ones of you who celebrate it of course) might love it. It is this special atmosphere that is lying in the air. This excitement of getting back to feelings and practices of our childhood. The commitment we have a thousand times more than in all the other months of the year, and this certain sensitivity and sensibility.

I know that not everyone feels like that. When you lost a loved one. When you had a tough year or when Christmas means stress because you feel pushed to fulfill expectations or when you are impelled to be with people (family) you tried to avoid throughout the year. Then the holidays might be sad, depressive, stress and frustrating even before they actually started.

Christmas is called the Holiday of Love. We all deserve to feel, experience and therefore give that love. It is the perfect day to get aware that love is all we have to give in the end. If we want to live in peace we have to develop a sense of love for our outside world. We have to develop a sense of love in order to fill ourselves with love. We have to develop a sense of love to find ways to celebrate this love with others and give away this most precious gift.

Whatever we experienced throughout the year. Make peace with it. Get aware that life means more than struggle and competition. Life is development and mutual support. And the greatest power for that comes out of love. We yearn for it , wish for it, search for it – like the one next to us, like the homeless, like the child that has to spend Christmas at the hospital, like that relative who might have bothered you in the past. Take all your anger, frustration and disappointment and decide consciously to celebrate the Holiday of Love. Transform all your anger and be willing to fill yourself with love in order to spend the most fulfilling Christmas ever. If you cannot forgive and just wait for the first “wrong” comment, you punish yourself.

Here are some tips how you can fill your heart with love and satisfaction:

Do something good. Buy a homeless a hot meal. Let someone go in front of you when you are standing in line. Put some cookies anonymously in front of a person’s door in order to show that someone cares.

Simplify the holidays, don’t stress yourself out in order to not be totally exhausted and angry.

Be grateful for the fact that there are people around you that care for you and thank for the chance to give something back at this special time of the year.

Consciously hug the ones you have been struggling with and get aware that they also have an important supportive place in your life. Wish them a Merry Christmas and mean it.

Don’t look out for tensions you expect like “every year” but decide to fill yourself with love, decide to let everybody be who he is, decide to have fun and enjoy like you never enjoyed it before, decide to spread good vibrations, and decide to make everybody feel welcome in your surrounding.

Balboa Peninsula

On the day of Halloween we went to Balboa Peninsula. This beautiful place lies along a wide beach and is the extension of the Newport Beach beach. At the end of the beach of Balboa Peninsula you have a view to Corona del Mar and also to the harbor of Balboa Island. I was often sitting at a view-point at Corona del Mar looking towards Balboa Peninsula and always wondered how it might be over there.

We had a beautiful morning – only few people around.

After that we drove up to Hacienda Heights. It has become a tradition to go to this Buddhist temple when I am in So Cal. I love that temple. Unfortunately it is not allowed to take pictures in the big temple house. It is beautiful. There is such a special atmosphere of peace and relaxation. Since I took pictures all the other times I did not take too much this time. Therefore I share some photos with you from former visits.

Trip to Oceanside CA

It has been a while since I posted my last impressions of my days in California after the I CAN DO IT convention and my book signing. Btw., you would not believe what is happening at the moment in my life. On Sunday I gave my last workshop for this year and it was awesome. I am very excited about scheduling my workshops for next year. Yesterday I got a call from my publisher and perhaps I get the chance to give workshops in a big business hotel in our capital beginning next year. It is still in discussion but things are in motion like the offer for another marketing campaign with Kimberly Rinaldi. I met her at the book signing in Pasadena and she just got back to me. What a year!!!

But now I want to share some beautiful views from another part of Southern California. We spend one day in Oceanside and when we drove back we stopped at my favorite spot in Laguna Beach to watch the sunset! Enjoy!

We began our day at the Beach Comber in Crystal Cove. It is right on the beach with the most inspiring surrounding. It is also beautiful for taking a walk along the beach. The atmosphere in the morning is a dream.20141029_091406

When I took this picture I did not realize a plane coming along. I just picked the perfect moment for taking a photo.20141029_100911

I looooove the beach!IMG_4878

Welcome to Oceanside! First we took a look at the harbor. It is really cute and has some shops and restaurants around.IMG_4882

When we got back to the car I saw this Dodge Ram in the parking lot. I love this car – I love big cars. Isn’t it huge? IMG_4887

Our next stop was the Old Mission San Luis ReyIMG_4892

Very special about it is that they own an original document written and signed by Abraham Lincoln which says that the mission is given back.IMG_4895

And now to my favorite place in Oceanside:

This time the pelicans were awesome! I never experienced them that tame.IMG_4921

My favorite most favorite spot in the world. I guess once I will do a whole post about Laguna Beach and its amazing wide view!IMG_4933

In the end the sun disappeared behind the mountains of Catalina Island.IMG_4970

Charming Pasadena

Back from my trip to So Cal I finally caught up with most things and now I want to start posting all of the beautiful things I could experience next to my unforgettable book signing experience at I CAN DO IT Pasadena 2014.

Since my trip started in Pasadena I will begin with this lovely place I have been to for the third time in my life. First and foremost I’d like to show photos of a beautiful botanical garden: The Huntington Library

It is a huge place with all different kinds of gardens like a Japanese, rose, palm, subtropical, desert, jungle gardens and many more! A breathtaking dive into different kinds of worlds. Really beautiful!

Embedded in the Gardens there are some precious and big buildings accommodating galleries, libraries and art collections. Also they have changing exhibitions. A great place to spend all day long. Unfortunately the operation hours are usually only from noon to 4.30 pm. So you really have to be there when they open up.

Could have been sitting there for hours!IMG_4613

Here we go with some impressions of the City of Pasadena, beginning with the Civic Auditorium. This is one of three buildings of the Pasadena Convention Center. Here the I CAN DO IT convention took place. The Civic Auditorium has room for 3000 people in the audience. Many lectures were given in this building started with Wayne W. Dyer.153

You can find lots of shops and restaurants along the Colorado Blvd. Also a mall is located on that street.145

Pasadena is definitely worth a visit!

Halloween in Huntington Beach, California

Hi, my dear friends! Halloween was awesome. I am so happy I had the chance to spend it in the US this time. My husband and I went to Huntington Beach downtown. There was an amazing party going on. Lots of great costumes. My husband and I went as the perfect match as you can see below on the pictures. Therefore we were a popular target. People ran by and asked us to be on a photo with them. It was so cool!

OK Rob, as promised, here comes Batgirl:

Happy Halloween!

As I began to love myself…

I just stumbled again over these beautiful words. Charles Chaplin delivered this speech at his 70th birthday. Probably you all know it already. But every time I read it, it moves me! It goes so deep and leaves me with wet eyes all the time. So much wisdom and experience are lying in these words, reminding that we can lift the curtain of illusion in order to find the beauty, love and all the answers we have been looking for.

“As I began to love myself I found that anguish and emotional suffering are only warning signs that I was living against my own truth. Today, I know, this is AUTHENTICITY.

As I began to love myself I understood how much it can offend somebody as I try to force my desires on this person, even though I knew the time was not right and the person was not ready for it, and even though this person was me.Today I call it RESPECT.

As I began to love myself I stopped craving for a different life, and I could see that everything that surrounded me was inviting me to grow. Today I call it MATURITY.

As I began to love myself I understood that at any circumstance, I am in the right place at the right time, and everything happens at the exactly right moment, so I could be calm. Today I call it SELF-CONFIDENCE.

As I began to love myself I quit steeling my own time, and I stopped designing huge projects for the future. Today, I only do what brings me joy and happiness, things I love to do and that make my heart cheer, and I do them in my own way and in my own rhythm. Today I call it SIMPLICITY.

As I began to love myself I freed myself of anything that is no good for my health – food, people, things, situations, and everything the drew me down and away from myself. At first I called this attitude a healthy egoism. Today I know it is LOVE OF ONESELF.

As I began to love myself I quit trying to always be right, and ever since I was wrong less of the time. Today I discovered that is MODESTY.

As I began to love myself I refused to go on living in the past and worry about the future. Now, I only live for the moment, where EVERYTHING is happening. Today I live each day, day by day, and I call it FULFILLMENT

As I began to love myself I recognized that my mind can disturb me and it can make me sick. But As I connected it to my heart, my mind became a valuable ally. Today I call this connection WISDOM OF THE HEART.

We no longer need to fear arguments, confrontations or any kind of problems with ourselves or others. Even stars collide, and out of their crashing new worlds are born. Today I know THAT IS LIFE!”

Reading this gives a feeling of coming home, a feeling so familiar of something we have always known. These words remind us to our own basics and that there is more in life than our daily struggles, and all the stress at work or in our relationships. Reading these words shifts the perspective dramatically and comforts with a knowing that everything that happens, happens in a perfect order – whenever, wherever. Nothing lasts forever downhere. This live is not intended for eternity. It is intended to give eternity a little break and enjoy a period in which we cherish time and space. A period in which we can be who we ever wanted to be. And even if we don’t bring it to satisfaction or seem to mess it up, it is not forever. Nothing can ever harm us.

Chaplin gave us a step-by-step guideline:                                                       AUTHENTICITY – RESPECT – MATURITY – SELF-CONFIDENCE – SIMPLICITY – LOVE OF ONESELF – MODESTY – FULFILLMENT – WISDOM OF THE HEART – LIFE

Being authentic leads to respect and gives you the potential to grow. Your self-confidence will increase and you will give yourself the allowance of living the way that feels good for you. In result you are developing a feeling of happiness and appreciation for yourself – a deep love. You don’t bother yourself anymore with always being right, since this is only weakening and working against this love you don’t wanna give away anymore. You are looking out for greater things, for a greater context and you won’t stress yourself out with worrying about anything in any future, or punish yourself or others for anything in the past. You understand that this would destroy the moment, destroy your health, and the love and happiness you feel. You understand that you only have this moment. And whatever shall be done in this or any other moment you will feel through the wisdom of your heart.

In being aware that we are eternal but the lifetime of this body isn’t shall fill us with the power of immortality and the motivation to live this physical lifetime to the fullest. Now we are here and have the chance to be who we always felt to be. Today we have the chance to live with all our senses. Don’t waste the time! Just live!

You have the right of living happily and loved – no matter what is going on around you in the outside world. But you have to feel this love inside of you first. No matter what happened in your life, you are a child of God and have the right to be happy and filled with love. As long as you don’t believe it, you cut yourself off from something that has always been part of you.

Don’t wait too long, don’t wait until you are 70 or if you are start right away. It is never too late to feel who you are and make this life worth living – in making it your life!

Life is supposed to be fun – if it’s not fun, it’s not life.

Trip to the Big Apple – Impressions

While we were in Manhattan we visited so many places like wall street, made a city tour, walked through the Battery Park, shopped at Macy’s, sucked up the pulse on times square and broadway and so much more. Our two days in NYC were truly filled whith a lot of impressive memories and the weather supported everything! My last post about Manhattan shall give you some impressions over the city itself.  Although I would not want to live here it is a great adventure that has everything you could wish for. NYC is not America but it is one of my favorite cities to travel to!

Now enjoy a bunch of photos showing parts of the Big Apple!

The following two pics were taken from the roof top of our hotel:

I am looking forward to posting about the Buffalo area the next time!!!
