It’s staggering how lost we can get when that compass goes astray

Erika, being grounded or going back to the basics can provide the solution or best path forward. A wise math teacher taught me the following – if you don’t know how to do a problem, write down what you do know. The idea is thinking with your pencil. Keith

Well said, Sylvester. When we are forced to our knees, maybe only then we recognize the path to walk.

Instead of turning towards a negative perspective we can take a deeper look.

This is so true. Often when we think we’ve lost something, it’s simply a path to something better. Love it!

Exactly, Jan! Life is not throwing stones in our ways, but navigation aids.

Amen to that Erika. We are indeed ever guided by that love and happiness we seek, thinking we had lost it. A beautiful post kind lady 🤗🌹❤️🙏

Erika, this lands so gently, and that’s everything. ‘Let it happen’ not ‘make it happen,’ not ‘force it,’ not ‘prove it.’ Just… let. So many of us are exhausted from proving we’re worth something, when the truth is we already are. We are already the miracle. We just need permission to stop fighting our own becoming. Thank you for giving that permission in two sentences.

Precisely, Khadija. And it all comes down to us standing in our own way without noticing it for the longest time. Whatever happens (to us) is not harassment or a punishment. It simply is life leading us the way we correspond the best way.

The part that undoes me: ‘we stand in our own way without noticing it for the longest time.’ Because once you notice it, really notice, you can never go back to blaming circumstances. And that’s both liberation and a kind of grief, isn’t it? Because if I’ve been standing in my own way, that means all the energy I spent resenting life for what it did to me… I could have been using differently. I could have been corresponding instead of surviving. So thank you for naming this. But also, how do you sit with that realization without turning it into another way to punish yourself? How do you transform ‘I was in my own way’ into ‘Now I choose differently’ without shame? That’s the real work, I think.
