For today, I choose to pick a card of my GATEWAY oracle cards by Dennis Linn. And what an inspiring card I picked. Please, interpret the card as it feels for you. Below, I am sharing how the card inspired me.
Who wants sad things to happen in their lives? Who wants changes of things they love as they are? Nobody wants it, but they happen anyway.
Life is a constant interaction between all energies around us. If my neighbor falls and needs to go to the hospital, it could affect me. I may need to drive her there and even stay for a while. That changes my original plan for the day. I may be late for making dinner and may need to cancel a client’s appointment (and lose money). At the same time, I may read something in the hospital that generates new ideas. I may talk to people I may have never met otherwise and make new connections that could even support my therapy practice.
What I want to say is, when even something happens that we call “bad”, “challenging” or “inconvenient”, it happens due to a greater context. it is the result of what happened before but, at the same time, it is part of a greater plan for the future. So, in only accepting what is, we recognize the chances of that happening. Because then, we see it as something that is happening to expand the horizon. Why should anything happen in vain? It would not make sense in this perfectly organized universe. It is a reminder of the universe: It’s time! Everything is connected and meant for personal or collective development. Just look at what the pandemic (as one single trigger) has brought for personal and collective developments. That’s why we may not always understand why things happened. We need to accept it anyway since we cannot change what already happened.
Only in acceptance, you are in the moment and centered that you can look beneath the event. Resistance dims the view. Because you are struggling with what was. It makes you even hold on to what you don’t want and keeps you from moving past it. Acceptance doesn’t mean you resign and can’t work on a change; because you always can and shall do it. Every experience supports your development and spiritual evolution. But only in this awareness, its purpose is fulfilled fluently.
Acceptance is the pre-condition and springboard to going from what is to where you want to be.
Where you are in this moment is not the end of the journey but only the beginning.

Acceptance is something that I only really found during the dark times.

I see what you mean, Gary. I think it is that dead end. Once we realize we cannot fall deeper, acceptance is starting to happen slowly but continously. And that is what we draw strength from again. 💖

It is an amazing thing when you can let go the surface fear and look deeper to heal. Slowly, in understanding it, we become stronger in all aspects. The fear is a drain on our lives, always keeping us ‘on guard’ to those many ‘what if’s’ etc, and directing our stage of characters at its beck and call. Face it and it does hesitate, accept it and it withers, understand it and it will completely disappear as you have totally dis-empowered it.
Well written Erika, words of a healer, one that has touched that very place and ‘accepted life’ well 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋

Who could talk clearer about it than you? You definitely reached that deepest bottom of acceptance and proved that it results in the ultimate “letting go”. It is scary yet liberating not to fight anymore but to let things happen the way they want to happen. You are such a role model in courage and faith to walk that path, Mark 💖

Thank you kind lady, I have been inside a bit and Spirit had much to say as I lifted my face out of the dirt on many occasions. Just as you do Erika, sharing your journey so that others may see and give them courage. And for me, in the beginning, another scary step in sharing it all. But the reason for sharing it is this…it is like convincing yourself to finally get on that crazy dangerous ride at the fair, the one that looks like you’ll die if you get on it…but finally you do…and it is absolutely fantastic, you’ve experienced it and understand it so it has you all fired up and excited that you’ve had the courage to go past your fear and do it. So you want everyone else to feel what you are now feeling, telling them how great it was, that it isn’t dangerous and in fact will make you feel fantastic, while they are backpedaling the other way saying no, no, no. I can’t do it.
Like me it can only be done when they are ready. I can explain what it feels like and how it works and how it makes you feel inside in doing it, and that is a guidance as it should be. But our journey is indeed built in such a way that it is up to us individually so that you ‘know’ you have trusted and loved yourself enough to have the courage to take that step in finding ourselves.
Thank you for sharing that place my friend, your ride has been fantastic indeed 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋 😂 🤣

I so understand what you mean. Breaking through this invisible wall of fear and once standing on the other side realizing that there has never even been a wall. And that empowering feeling that you made it, that you overcame fear, that you are stronger than your fears. Wow! That brings back so many memories.
So many individual rides, and each one an accomplishment of its own. Let’s keep riding, Mark!!

And there is so much more about it. Acceptance also distances from the need to proof something. It is amazing. Just comes to my mind. A forgotten attitude worth to relearn. Thank you so much, sis. I am happy you liked it 💖

Accept what is in the now and do what you need to continue to move forward. As you said, acceptance doesn’t mean resignation. Inspiring thoughts. Have a great week, Erika 🌞

Exactly, resignation weakens and limits. But acceptance makes the ground solid to walk towards a change.

We shouldn’t dim our point of view but widen our perspective and walk on that solid ground.

You completely nailed this. I would love to you quote you with this sentence, in case it is your own words: “I think acceptance is the foundation of all change.” Would you grant me the honor?
