Many of you know that I am a singer. I produced 16 songs (rock/pop/ballads). But actually, I am a classical singer. I have sung at several concerts in halls and churches, with big and small orchestras and bands, I have been booked by choirs or for big official events for the entertainment part. I played and sang leading parts in musicals, and won both contests I participated in many years ago. Still, I don’t have a lot of digital recordings where you can hear my classical voice. That’s why I am happy I can share an Ave Maria with you which I sang in church a few weeks ago.
I recorded it with my mobile phone, which means it is of no studio quality at all. But although it lay behind me (I am not singing into the mic of my phone) I was surprised how well it turned out. Even the side noises are not too distracting. I hope you like it.
As always, please use headphones since the speakers of a phone, a laptop or a computer may make it sound flat.
I added this recording to my classical music page.

I have such a hard time getting to your blog, (what’s up with that) that I did not know you are a classical singer. I did hear your beautiful voice at your daughters wedding though. This really blew me away. Sometimes, I realize how much beauty is in the world…your voice is one of those remarkable miracles.

It is upsetting in that I like to visit regularly but you are worth the effort. Just forgive if I am MIA at times. 💜❤️💜

Such a beautiful voice! And yeah, I didn’t pick up on any background noise. I think your phone did a fine job. It’s a lot better than my phone would have done. Haha. Excellent performance!! Thank you for sharing!

I thought I just try it. In the worst case, I could simply delete it again. But I was very surprised how well it turned out most of all since it was lying behind me. But perhaps that even was the trick… lol! Thank you very much for stopping by and listening and I am humbled by your comment. Thanks a lot, Parker 🙏

Well that was a big surprise Erika .. and a very nice one. I have a huge music library which includes a significant collection of orchestral and classical vocal pieces and your performance was impressive. Cannot express the same sentiments for the organist, but I am guessing that it was a relatively small church. Take care of that talent … and thank you so much for sharing it with us! 🙂

Haha, yes, the organist struggled but she had a serious excuse. She was caught by a really bad cold probably the flu actually.
Music is half of my life. I could never give up on it. It would be like giving away my soul.
Thank you so much for your wonderful words, Colin. I know, you are always totally honest and that is why your comment means a lot to me🙏.

Awh, thank you, Irene. Yes, there is one more classical recording. That concert took place in 2004 in a church. It was great to sing with a fantastic orchestra there too and having a choir in my back… when even they only sang after my solo… lol
