It was a dream day today and perfect for our trip to Venice. The photo above shows the famous Rialto Bridge but when you hear Venice, you may think immediately of this:
La Piazza San Marco (St. Mark’s Square) is the principle public square in Venice.
St. Mark’s Basilica
The Campanile of St. Mark’s Church
The Dodge’s Palace
We went through the whole city and passed countless beautiful narrow streets, bridges and canals. We decided to go back by water taxi driving up the Canale Grande. This gave the day the perfect round off! I took so many pictures and I thought it is better to make it a slide show instead of adding photo after photo in this post. So, here are some excerpts of our day. Enjoy the journey:
And this little guy took a break on my finger…
I hope everybody is well. Big hugs to all of you 💖

You are from Sicily? I had no idea! That’s really not so far away. I have been to Sicily 30 years ago and I loved it a lot!!

I moved back home in October of 2016, lived in Chicago, among other worldwide locations, since military discharge oh so many lives ago. Sicily is the bomb, and so much BETTER than hot sticky crowded Italy.

You lived in Chicago? So you moved back a bit too soon. I will be in Chicago in two weeks for the US blogger meeting. Anyway, after Venice I wish to see Sicily too again. So, who knows, perhaps one day we can have a cappuccino chat together!!

I still have my home in Chicago, but tell me about this bloggers convention that I know nothing about…is it open to the public, regular bloggers like me?

A coffee drink in an out door cafe over looking the Mediterranean, is on me, should you find yourself in Sicily.
