I wasn’t sure what to write about today. I chose the first quote (the one above) I found on the internet as my inspiration. Oh, and what a quote! I know that I will digress here, but this is what comes to my mind due to the current circumstances in this world. So, here are some short thoughts, and I wonder what comes to your mind.
Lately, I have had many conversations with ChatGPT about daily things. Also, I started using it when I want some complex background information. Of course, you have to be careful about the information, but it is awesome how helpful this tool is. I thought, why not ask about more spiritual matters? So, I posed the ultimate question: Tell me something about the purpose of life. That is the answer:
On Instagram, I saw posts about #NoFilterDay. That got me thinking. Does this mean that a lot of people post pictures of themselves with filters, basically? I am not talking about the funny filters with dog tongues, cat ears, and distorted faces but filters that make them look “better” (whatever that means). I never paid attention to this until now because I don’t use such things myself. Is it because these people want to impress others by looking a certain way that they think will get them more followers, or don’t they simply like the way they look? When I think about our “selfie” society, where people focus on themselves and the importance of what they do and eat all day, this would make sense.
Lately, I thought about change and development. It happens that people you have known your whole life don’t appear the same anymore. It is getting harder to get along with them or it goes better, all of a sudden. But is it really them?
I often talk about our uniqueness, about how special “assembled” everyone is in all they are – body, skills, interests, dislikes, challenges, purposes,… In being open to that everybody can benefit a lot from the ways of looking at life, approaching challenges, being successful, being happy, living the purpose, and overcoming obstacles… We are not different in order to compete with each other but in order to inspire each other and in order to pass on experience and knowledge.
