Erika, so true. This is one key theme that non-believers seem to miss. Sometimes that is all you have. When we used to get religious volunteers to our working homeless families, we made them sign a statement that they would not proselytize. We soon realized that the homeless families were as or more pious than the volunteers. Faith was all they had. Keith

Yes, that is a “phenomenon” I often witnessed. The less you have, the more you feel the essence of yourself and what cannot be taken away or you understand that faith is your bridge to keep alive.
