#PeaceSongTuesday – 49

Let us continue to believe in a world where respect and appreciation for one another are held dear. Let us never stop seeing the good in each other and do everything we can to spread love and compassion for a world that will one day live in peace.

Beautiful song/video with a beautiful message. Unfortunately, it often seems today that we are seeing fewer and fewer people who are able to set aside their own whims for a moment to treat someone else with kindness. We’ve become what I call a “me-istic” society. I do love the song and the message, though!

I think the problem is, that those people who act that way are simply louder and at positions where they are heard better. I would dare to bet that the majority is different. That is what we can experience when there are tragedies happen in the world… there are helping hands all over, instantly.

I hope you are right, my friend! I’m a bit less optimistic than you, but I do know there are also a lot of good people out there who are quietly going about the business of helping others and don’t have time to go about tooting their own horns. Having just finished writing my ‘good people’ post for tomorrow morning, I’m feeling a bit more optimistic.

Writing can be healing. It is like speaking to someone… simply getting your thoughts off your chest which leaves room for new (maybe lighter) ones.
