First, it was the pandemic, and now, it is the war in Ukraine, while the pandemic is still raging. I understand that it can be hard to look confidently at this world and toward the future. It is not fun what happens, and it can scare you out of your skin if one spins specific thoughts further because the megalomania of only one can decide over all our fortune or misfortune.
Although it is, of course, absolutely intolerable to just let such machinations happen, any resistance bears new dangers. We must have our stand, but, as I said before, we also need to leave that window open to let those who left enter again. However, this post is not about what we don’t want but about finding a way to empower ourselves. In this context, the beautiful prayer of St. Francis came to my mind.
When I read it again, it automatically calmed my inner restlessness and worries. Sometimes we cannot prevent bad things to happen but we can prevent ourselves to become part of bad intentions which never make things better. By taking distance, changing my perspective, my vibration adjusts. Thus I ground and strengthen myself and radiate that energy that is so urgently needed. No more words from me, simply read line by line. You will feel it 💖
THE PRAYER OF SAINT FRANCIS
Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy.
O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled as to console,
To be understood as to understand,
To be loved as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
It is in dying to self that we are born to eternal life.

I love the honesty of this post, Erika. It is difficult to look at the world’s situations and have any glimmer of hope. But the St. Francis prayer says it all. It has been a long time since I read this, but I’ve now copied it and posted it next to my computer so I will see it daily. Thank you for sharing. We can each lift the vibration of the earth through prayer and meditation.

Jan, I thought the same. It came to my mind again and only remembering it had an impact. I too printed it and put it next to my workplace.
We can only be the person we want to encounter wherever we go: lovingly, encouraging, supporting, patient, understanding, compassionate, the beacon of light I need.
Thank you so much for your deep and honest comment, Jan. Much love 💖

This one stands completely out, in my opinion. It is the only prayer that I print and pin to my mirror to never let go of the powerful energy it activates. Thank you very much 🙏

Those are such true words. It is our nature. Would you let me quote you in case those are originally your words?

I don’t know if anyone else ever said it. It is what came to me when I read what you posted. Feel free, I guess. I can research it if you like.

No, that’s ok for me, Annette. I only need to ask before I post it in case, you actually quoted someone. So, I am happy to save your words for a quote post 💖

I am not someone who says prayers like in school. But this one is more like a poem with deep energetic power. It activates something inside.
Cecilia has a lot more beautiful songs. She is also called the “healing voice”.
Thank you, dear Mark 💖
