Hey, friends! I hope your day has been well so far. I had a great day. We toured through the north of the island sitting in a bus with open roof top. The weather has been gorgeous as you can tell from the pictures. I stop rambling now and simply share the beauties of Malta.
Facts about Malta from Wikipedia:
Malta is an island country in Europe. It is near the center of the Mediterranean Sea, south of Sicily. The capital of Malta is Valletta. About 400,000 people live in Malta. Malta is one of the most densely populated countries in the world. Because of this, it has many cities and towns that grew into each other over time. The largest of these is possibly Birkirkara. Malta has two official languages, Maltese and English. A majority of the people of Malta can speak the two languages Since 2004 Malta is member of the EU.

You make me smile, Shauna 🙂 I took lots of photos from the bus we were riding on. So not everything was taking me time. But yes, we saw a lot! And the next post has already been published 😀

It’s funny…the photos you took on the way have a very European feel but then as you move to your destination, I’m seeing an older more Egyptian influence. All beautiful nonetheless.

Malta is so versatile. They belonged to almost every country once. Also Italy and Egypt I guess. In the end it is an insland of knights. Then when you drive through the country side it looks like Greece with all the olive trees… really interesting.

That’s so funny because the canals reminded me of Italy while some of the architecture you featured later looked like Egypt and a strong Mediterranean flavor over all. Not bad for someone who has never been to any of those countries.

Yes, you simply have that feeling, Marissa! It would be great if you you came over once! I’d love to show you around here 🙂 Only 2 – 3 hours away from Italy 🙂

Oh, I would so love that. I’ve been to some parts of Europe but would love to go back to see Italy and France. It’s so expensive though, and especially now because I would have to take the kids!!

You know what? Come without the kids and we drive from my place. About 3 – 4 hours to Italy 🙂
