#PeaceSongTuesday – 56

Let us continue to believe in a world where respect and appreciation for one another are held dear. Let us never stop seeing the good in each other and do everything we can to spread love and compassion for a world that will one day live in peace.

I’m a huge fan of his, ever since he started as a pop idol. Good though it is, this probably wouldn’t even make my top ten of his, he has given us so many!

Countless great songs. Another one of my favorites is “Can’t keep it in”. And of course, there are so many more I love… All of his songs have a profound message and his way of transporting it always catches you.

There are so many, aren’t there! I’ve seen him in concert and it was a magical evening. Beautiful, meaningful songs, great voice, and a thoroughly nice man. I once met him briefly, and he was everything I expected of him.

What? You even met him? Awesome! If I ever get the chance to see him in concert I would take it. He has this energy, these vibes. He is what he does.

I saw him in 2009, at one of a series of concerts celebrating the 50th anniversary of Island records. I was standing with some staff from the company, who were as surprised as I was when we got an unannounced four song acoustic set from U2. Quite a night!

I worked for an NHS Trust in the area where he ran a school. We did some work with them and were invited to one of their assemblies as a thank you. I wasn’t expecting him to be there, but it was a pleasant surprise.
