When I had my blogging break after Christmas, I used the time too for going through old posts and “renovate” them. I came across this one I posted in 2016. When I went through it, I got that feeling that it needs to be shared again. I hope the person(s) it is meant for will find some inspiration:
It is five years ago that I wrote the following post. I think, reminding ourselves that it is in our own hands to direct our destiny fits well for the first Monday post of this new year.
Lately, I had a discussion with my youngest son about receiving respect and being taken seriously by others regarding the constant competition between him and his older brother. For a teenager, there is a lot to cope with, for example, the changes that happen to your body, and at the same time to your developing confused mind. Then there is the pressure of school and the decisions about what to do after (another school, apprenticeship,…) which goes along with the challenge of getting an apprenticeship place. A lot to deal with that life brings naturally.
Recently, I talked to a neighbor, and she told me about her little daughter being diagnosed with diabetes. She said that she is working on solely thinking of her daughter as healthy, avoiding any negative thoughts, and believing that all will be well again while this is only a temporary condition. It reminded me of a post I published more than four years ago:
Your life is going well. You are not bothering too much with tasks of occasional challenges. You are easy-going that makes you face any task just as something that needs to be done. You are not in need to keep yourself positive because you simply are.
What an Easter Surprise😃 Without making a big fuss about it, Sylvester published his 8th book today. As he says in his post, it is not just a new poetry book. It is rather a collection of inspirational thoughts about what a soul encounters during its journey down here. Sylvester put it in the form of quotes, texts, and poems too. Curious? Well, I certainly am! That’s why my copy has already been ordered. And what about you?
Please head over to his blog for learning more about his book, how to order, the story behind, and last but not least, to congratulate him!
“If you speak from the heart and spirit, you will touch more than the ears, you will reach the soul.” -Syl
My writing journey has taken a lot of twists and turns. I am so very thankful to be blessed with the gift to write and create with words. I published my first poetry collection eight years ago which was a journey in itself, realizing a dream come true. Since then I have published several other collections.
Now I am thankful to present my latest book Soul Waves. This marks a change in my presentation style. There are poems, thoughts, and quotes sprinkled in. As my writing journey continues I become more aware of the purpose for my writing.
Thank you to all of you here in the WordPress community that have inspired me through your blogs, interactions, the smiles and laughs shared, an all the heartfelt comments.
Before we had smartphones we have not missed them. But today, the phone breaking down can cause big issues in our daily lives. I wrote my first email in 2006. Many asked me how I could live without the internet. I said, how can I miss something which has never been part of my life? But once I had started emailing and using the internet, it comes close to a catastrophe when my laptop dies or the internet gets interrupted. When my sister went for her style coach degree, she interviewed people. One question was about the color yellow and what if it would not be part of our lives. One answer was: We wouldn’t care, because we wouldn’t even know it.
Basically, January 1st is only the following day after December 31st. Projects have already been in progress and don’t only start on the first day of the year. But still, the change of the year makes us review what was and what has been to become aware if we are still on track or if there is the need to make some changes. Some people make New Year’s resolutions. What I like about those resolutions is that there is a clear awareness that a change has to come from the individual itself.
A couple weeks ago, Keith and I talked about how negative feelings like hate and fear can eat you up. This made me realize once more that only love fuels us with energy while negative thoughts, feelings, and beliefs only weaken. But why is this? Read more ›
It is not always easy to do that. Daily life, obligations, and responsibilities do have a legitimation in this too! But too often we are scared to even think about following that voice which creates such beautiful and alluring pictures in our heads. Read more ›
I often hear about how companies should make it an effort to motivate their employees or to provide conditions to motivate their personnel. Lately, I came across this again and it made me ponder. I think this is a misinterpretation of the meaning of the word “motivation”. Because that way, people are actually manipulated or paid off to do something they don’t want to do. In my opinion, the meaning of the word is used wrongly. Read more ›

On a side note: I am preparing quote and images independently from scheduling them. Usually, I am having a bunch of quotes in my folder and then pick blindly those to schedule. My Thursday quote is one of my archives. Only when I was about to schedule this one I noticed how well it fits the one I scheduled for yesterday. First I thought, I need to exchange one but then I decided to leave it since it actually makes a great sequel. Thanks for leading me, Universe!
I think we all agree that probably the only constant in life is change. Whether we want it or not, whether we provoke it or not. Change is the mother of development. It constantly gives birth to new occasions and possibilities as tools to evolve. Change may not always be welcomed and often it cuts our world apart which we were actually fine with. But “being fine” is rather part of our comfort zone and stagnates our development. If we are not willing to leave our comfort zone then life will “help” us to do so. Read more ›

This is the wall tattoo above my bed. I see it daily and it still speaks to me. I often write about dreams and how they trigger our intention to try something new or to explore new fields. Those dreams are like a preview of something we desire to be or to have. They can generate new courage and strength to take steps with conviction and determination towards the realization of that dream. Read more ›
Denzel Washington is one of my favorite actors. Right, who cares…lol. And what has it to do with my Monday post? After listening to a song on YouTube I stumbled over a speech of Denzel Washington at the Dillard University. Of course, I had to check it out and was amazed. I had no idea that he was such a fantastic motivational speaker. I am sharing the 8 minutes speech (with German subtitles) below. In general, he is talking about things we basically know but it is in the way he conveys and explains them. He nails everything in a way that reaches heart and mind at once. In point 2 of his speech, he said Fail Big. Read more ›
I actually planned to write another post about the 25 core messages God shared. But this will happen a different time since I feel like sharing something that moved me some days ago. I met a new blogger, Sheila Murrey of Take It Upon Yourself, who left a wonderful comment about her emotions and thoughts regarding the movie Bohmian Rhapsody. She expressed wonderfully what I felt too. I took a look at her blog and saw that she has written a book about self-development, healing (body and soul), and giving a look onto life from a higher perspective. I have been excited that I found her. Or actually, she found me. It is always such a joy to see how many people are dedicating their free-time or even their lives for giving something to help others to bring more light into their own lives.
Then I thought of a post our lovely Sue of Dreamwalker’s Sanctuary. She had an inconvenient encounter here on WordPress with another blogger who couldn’t deal with the fact that Sue used an analogy that blogger used too – without both knowing of each other. Instead of being pleased to see that her way might be truthful and that there are others to support the healing in this world, she reacted offended AND offending. Why do we so easily think we are in a competition here. I don’t exclude myself, by the way. it is a reflex that must have been planted in us from childhood on by all the influences of society. Aren’t we all living for the goal of living a happy and fulfilled life? Like I want it, you want it, and she and he want it too! We cannot claim to have the copyright of sending light because we all ARE light. And the only thing that can dim that light is when the ego takes over in its distorting opinions.
There is not one best song or music style. There be those who reach more people but some like this most and some like that. So it makes no sense to compete over it. That is a reason why I don’t like those competition shows anymore. Only because the majority thinks one song or singer is best doesn’t mean it really is the best one. They simply are the ones, the majority of those who watched and voted liked it most. Don’t get me wrong, competitions can push us to work on ourselves to get better but we should always be aware that it is not a general truth. Like that, there is not only one way or one best way. There are many ways. There are even many ways for each individual regarding their states of awareness.
When everybody does everything their ways then it will always reach exactly those people who need exactly what they share. And if two share something similar or even the same then only because even more people might need it and that way more people can be reached.
Remember, we all have may have the same goals but we are all individuals to serve individuals individually. That way we all walk towards those goals in the way meant for each one of us. Isn’t that amazing?
Several weeks ago I picked up one of Walsch’s books and began to read the first pages. After I read the short list of the 25 core messages to explain the main message (in the title) I stopped reading. It was so inspiring and I my mind started spinning. Before I am reading on I want to share the flow of pictures and thoughts of some of those core messages which immediately filled me. Most of those core messages won’t appear new since we are talking about them over and over again. We all share them with our own words. Isn’t that an amazing proof that we are fully aware of God’s message? If you would like to read the previous parts, you can check out here part 1,part 2,part 3,part 4,part 5, part 6,part 7, and part 8.Read more ›

I won’t go through all the 25 key points because – and that is one of the moving things I experienced – I am already sharing them over the years. And probably the posts will automatically include more than one of the key points since in the end there is only one truth anyway. In listening to God we will get closer to this highest and blissful awareness. Read more ›
I dare to say that fear is the origin of most or even all of our problems and troubles. Fear is a blocking filter built by the mind and it keeps us from connecting with the source of power inside of us. Peace, understanding, development, happiness – to sum it up – love, comes from within. Only if we open up the pipeline to that source, which is the origin of our being, we are able to live the life we are supposed to. We need to identify fear as a lie. Fear is a thought, an imagination and nothing else. It never tells the truth and is a big cheater. Read more ›
Before my break, I wrote about being entitled to be selfish and to put things at rest when life developed and changed. Last week I wrote how feelings of guilt can make a situation more complicatedthan necessary for everybody. Since I did not have much time to write a post on the weekend I dug into my archive and found this one which I wrote more than 2 years ago. When I read through it I was amazed, how perfectly it combines both topics and adds even more perspectives on both. Read more ›

That moment, when you naturally take a deep breath with a smile on your face. So often we don’t start a project because we are afraid of failing. We are afraid of being questioned even before we started or before a result is shown. We are afraid of being criticised about how we do it or even THAT we do it. We are afraid that people are making fun of us because we are doing something they might have never dared to do themselves. Or we are afraid because our project also means showing a part of us which we kept hidden for a long. But there comes a time when all those fears are not strong enough anymore to keep us from going for our dream. They cannot keep us from stepping out of our comfort zone anymore. We are full of excitement and enthusiasm and yes, we try it with all our heart and passion. And then it happens…. the door opens up! Read more ›
We all have both of them. And much too often they seem to stand in opposition to each other. Because what we do and what we would love to do sometimes appears like sitting in completely different corners. But why actually? Why should it be not possible to realize our dreams and fulfill our obligations or even make them our obligations at the same time? Read more ›
Last week I participated in the Three Day Quote Challenge. I picked “New Beginnings” for my challenge theme. It turned out as the inspiration for this post.
We all have times in life when not everything is roses. I always say that in the end, we need to look at the complete package. If it looks and feels good some less convenient parts are bearable or don’t weigh that much. It helps to gain the necessary energy and tolerance for remaining peaceful or for facing single challenges on the road. But if we get used to “overlook” the negative side, that positive attitude can become tricky. Read more ›
Today a flock of 15 to 20 storks appeared from nowhere when I was about to leave my old apartment after I was done with all the cleaning. It was stunning to see those huge birds circling so close above me for at least 10 minutes. What a fitting metaphor at that very moment! Just had to share it.
I am in charge of the Twitter account of my company. We are also following AI (Artificial Intelligence) channels. Like many of you, I observed the whole internet progress with raised eyebrows. But meanwhile, I am seriously concerned about the development of AI. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to blame it in general. There are great things invented to support the health system and surgeries. Dangerous work can be done by robots. What I think is fantastic are robots or other inventions which help disabled people to have much fewer restrictions. Drones can be sent to rescue people in difficult areas, and much more. Read more ›

When I think of what I want to achieve in my life and to whom I want to grow, then I ask myself what shall be written in my bio. There is only one thing actually. I want to look back and can say, I have become a happy person. What more could I reach? What could I ever miss as long as I am happy? When I am happy, I feel content and love will never leave me. Whatever comes and goes in my life can make me sad but never unhappy. When I can say, I am happy, then I have become all that I can become.
