#JustAThought… on Love

The post I am writing today got inspired by Mark’s post What is Love? which he posted a couple of days before I wrote this one. When I read only the title of Mark’s post, a tsunami of thoughts flooded my mind. Here is what I commented on his post:

What is love… I don’t know how often I asked myself the question, wrote about it, and found definitions, only to throw them overboard again. It depends on how far we think. Do we think about human love as the love between two people, parents and their children, friends, or the love for what we do? They all are different in the way we feel, still they are love. But love doesn’t differ. Love doesn’t judge. Love is love: a stable force, the creator of all that is. How can we, as the creation of love define love? We can only perceive it. I think the more we try to explain love, the less we understand it. Meanwhile, when I hear the word “love”, I don’t think about two people in a relationship. Love is so much more. It is the force that brought them together, but at the same time, it is the force that has been running through them and attracting them. AND it is the force that challenges each other to learn what love is or, even better, what it is not.

I think whatever we feel as love is only one of the countless aspects of love. When we feel passion for a hobby or job, compassion when we see others in need, joy or poignance in a sunset, a deep connection to another person, a strong bond with our children/parents… yes, that all is love. But since each feeling is a bit different, none of the listed can be defined as true love, yet all can.

If love, as I wrote above, is the source of all that exists, everything – and I mean absolutely everything – that we see, hear, touch, and experience is the offshoot of love. Everything! Also, what we would call evil, tragic, and violent. Why do I feel sadness? Only because love has been the ground on which it grew. Without love being there beforehand, nothing would be felt. And that sadness also leads us back to love through its process because we realize the depth of that love and, over time, we can see so much more behind it that helps transform this sadness into awareness of a much greater picture.

How can I say that violence, injustice, and discrimination can be part of love? Again, look at love as the source and the creator of all that is. In my opinion, love impossibly creates anything but love. Love observes but doesn’t judge. Love shows through natural consequences how to get back to love. Everything else would be in vain. Everything painful doesn’t match the pure energy of love, and that’s why it hurts. In trying to get past the pain, we find love again. All the terrible things that happen in the world are consequences that are teaching us. The inconvenient feelings of sadness and maybe even aggression when we hear about violent acts tell us that we need to change our direction not to feel the pain again in our hearts. So, again, it is personal and collective development.

Born from love into oblivion, play our roles and, along the road, recognize love again.

Love is everything, and everything is love.
When I feel something that doesn’t appear like love,
it is love already showing me the way back.
So don’t turn away,
look at your pain,
and find salvation through it.

At least, these are some of many of my thoughts…

In Love and Light

Love is love, and as I replied to Mark, each facet is a door to enter love’s realm. Always perfectly tuned to the individual. Thank you very much and have a great week too, Sylvester!

Wow! Wise words dear lady, and love is indeed behind it all. To see and feel it, we need to understand what it isn’t so that when we do see it, we will truly understand it purely for what it is…unconditional. All else is that learning curve of us trying to understand. Its like my referral to it as how we love all those around us…our children, partners, in-laws, friends and pets…but no two the same, simply because we have placed conditions on our love towards them because of our experiences with them. Life is indeed a great classroom.
This is a great piece dear lady, as only love can share. I bow to that love expressed 😀❤️🙏🏽

You noticed the pingback, Mark. So, the inspiration hit me straight in the face… lol. Love is my favorite topic to write about. Although love is simply love, regardless of the interpretation, yet, it has so many facets to enter its realm that you won’t repeat yourself, no matter how much you write. So, thank you for the loving inspiration, Mark. Only love can have this effect on others. 💖

Actually I didn’t get the pingback. My site has really been playing up with people not being able to comment or like quite badly lately so missing that just adds to the hiccups. Plus, I was so stunned by your writing I just wanted to really focus on what you had said, and I missed the link as well as I read it 🤣
But thank you very much for both connections, I am glad to know such a heart dear lady, enlightening us all. It gave me much wisdom and I thank you for sharing it 😀❤️🙏🏽

Yes, I followed the link back, and thank you for that. We are all showing our journey Erika and I have no doubt it will touch those who are seeking meaning in their lives. Love is such an incredible thing that it will always bring into our lives that beauty we ever search for. One of those ‘When the student is ready the teacher will come’ pathways for us all. Thank you for sharing your path kind lady 😀❤️🙏🏽

That saying is so true and gets confirmed all the time. I love seeing us all as both, student and teacher. A wonderful connection and flow. Thank you, Mark, always a pleasure and priviledge to do so and to learn about your path too 💖
