Thunderstorm in the Head
When in your head
Is raging a hurricane
When every thought hurts
And drives you insane
You cannot do anything
But slow down and rest
To relax the tension
Take the pain and the stress
There are those times
When life demands it all
Of course, you hang in
Until you only crawl
When we fail to estimate
How much we can bear
Our body steps in
And says: “Stop and take care!”
Sidenote: I wrote this one when I had a really bad headache and it was all I could think of.
In Love and Light
Erika, nicely done. You reminded me of author Robert Ludlum in his “Bourne Identity” series. Bourne would tell himself “sleep is weapon.” So, get some rest. Keith

I couldn’t agree more, Keith. Sleep is precious. You only understand when you begin to develop sleeping disorders. Thank God, that has become better. So, yes, get some rest and don’t always think you have to get the job of three women done… lol.

I’ve experienced those moments when my body just shut down, unable to take any more. It’s never pleasant, but necessary sometimes to get our attention. Feel better soon!

We don’t even notice as long as we are in the “function mode”. But after that, our bodies call us loud and clear.

This describes perfectly a raging headache… Really spoke to me..
I used to suffer really bad migraines and crawl into bed with bucket at the side and wet cloth across my brow…. So really understand those thunderstorms in the head… Not nice at all…

It is terrible to be at that point and I can recall the moments you describe here. Each small movement is like hell. My youngest one went through it last Sunday too.
Thank you, Sue 💖

Our bodies act like street lights sometimes. Telling us when to go, stop or proceed with caution.

Too often we ignore the signs until we cannot ignore them anymore.

Haha, how’s that for synchronicity. I’ve had a doozy for 2 days now, my crushed disks singing their song. Must have needed a duet dear lady, I now feel better already, thank you 🤣 ❤️ 🙏🏽

OMG, poor Mark. I hope you are doing already better. So, it seems we all know what headache and migraine mean… lol
