Let’s continue with the hard choices of this fantastic music year! You will find famous songs that are still played on the radio today, and others that may have been forgotten over the years.
Oh Sherrie – Steve Perry
Jump – Van Halen
I know there are so so so many more famous and great songs that have shaped the history of music. I hope you like my choices. However, please feel free and leave your personal favorite song of 1984 in the comments. Since all of the songs you find here have been already scheduled in advance, you may still find your favorite in a later post anyway.
In Love and Light
I so love those songs. What a year. Can’t fight this feeling. Summer of 69. Blue Jean. I want to,know what love is. And so many more.

OMG, Can’t fight this feeling is from 1984… I must have completely overlooked it. It is one of my alltime favorite songs. The first time I heard it was when I was in London with my father in 1985. I fell in love with that song instantly and bought the single right the next day.
Great mentions, Gary. I love all the three. Wasn’t it an amazing music year?

Yeah, Van Halen! :-)) Great, turn the volume up! Thanks, Erika! Great choice! Have you known “Rhythm of the night” was from the singer “Corona”? Lol Had read it this morning at Sally Cronin’s blog. xx Michael

Really? I don’t remember but now that you say it that artist’s name sounds familiar (and not because of the past two years… lol).

Jump is actually still played over here but I haven’t heard Oh, Sherrie in ages. I loved that song a lot.

The only time I hear Oh, Sherrie is when I’m searching for songs and it pops up on a YouTube mix 😀 Jump never goes out of style.

These are fantastic Erika, I haven’t heard either in ages. A great share, thank you. And another I loved ‘Against All Odds’ – Phil Collins, I love listening to him, he has some great music 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋

Phil Collins has strongly influenced the 80s. What would they be without him? I saw him once in concert… terrific!

I could imagine it would have been something else to go watch him in concert. He has that ‘something’ about him and his music 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋
