The two songs I’m going to share today I barely heard again after they played nonstop on the radio in 1983. It was absolutely time to dig them out again. I always particularly liked the Slade hit, just a real earworm. I was 13 years old and didn’t really pay attention to the lyrics. But when I listened to My Oh My again, it touched my heart even more because the message is so important and timely right now.

I saw them in Bournemouth once. Their guitarist had his leg in plaster . Apparently he’d tried to crowd surf and they’d dropped him.

Some of the early 80s songs had that disco vibe. Such a variety of good sounding music. Nice picks for today 🎵

I am so happy you think so, Annette. There are so many songs we loved to listen to which are almost forgotten. I love these posts for meeting old companions.

Pat Benatar – Love Is A Battlefield. Always reminds me of those relationship battlefields we have, from teenage tantrums to adult animosity, it always stretches our wings dear lady 😂 🤣 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋
