#HitsByYears – 1983

I was supposed to spend the last weekend in Vienna. Unfortunately, plans changed a few hours before we wanted to leave due to my husband’s positive Corona test (he is fine, no worries). However, since I expected not to have the time for writing my regular posts, I scheduled another week of my #HitsByYears” series. You may not find the most popular songs of that year like “Sweet Dreams” by Eurythmics, “Holiday” by Madonna, or “Uptown Girl” by Billy Joel. Instead, I tried to dig out some songs we loved but which we may have a bit forgotten over the past almost 40 decades (what? 40? 😱). Enjoy the trip back to another great year of music:

Owner of a Lonely Heart – Yes

Flesh For Fantasy – Billy Idol

Feel free to add or mention in the comments your favorite song of 1983 and the memory that connects you with it.

Thank you very much, Holly. He doesn’t have any symptoms. He had a headache 8 days ago for a few hours and that was it. The test he did then was negative. So, we were surprised that he was positive when we tested for the trip… thank God we did the testing! Thank you and you stay safe too, dear Holly💖

Yes, it is. But even more I am glad about being fully vaccinated (3 times). I am sure it helped him almost not recognizing the infection and me and my son not catching it at all.
Now this is the first of my favorite four 80s years of music… whoop whoop!

He is doing fine. My husband is triple vaccinated and only had a headache for a few hours in the beginning. Today is his last day in prison… lol.
MJ always works for me too… hehe.

Glad to hear hubby is ok Erika, they say the latest virus gives you a great singing voice. I’m thinking of going out and catching it, mine needs all the help it can get 😂 🤣
Thanks for the going back in time too, haven’t heard either of these in a long time 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋

😂 I do jest, if I caught the virus I’d probably turn into a toad 🤣. I actually found an amazing thing though, as our healing in this life progresses our voice changes. On the day I understood my fear my voice deepened and ‘smoothed’ (if there is such a thing 😀). I also found, and this is with humans and animals, that I speak using a certain ‘tone’ which varies slightly depending on the person/animal during my interactions. Even my little magpie friends are ‘toning’ back to me now. So we must become that balance when we heal, in many ways 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋

Oh, yes, the more at peace we are, the lower the voice becomes and the warmer it feels. The more agitated or angry someone is, the higher the voice becomes. Also, you are taken more serious when the voice is lower, right because, you vibrate more solidity. That’s why I tried to lower may voice towards the kids when I got angry. They listened better… lol

Oh, yes, the YES song is a real classic, I have not heard it in years.
Thank you, yes, he will be released tomorrow. We planned to surprise my nephew for his 19th birthday. So, now even we were surprised. That visit is definitely only postponed. I have not been at home for more than two years.
Thank you, and you have a great one too, Hugh!
