#SongTuesday

When I scheduled today’s poem, I noticed a chorus began playing in my mind which goes so well along with the feeling of just escaping and feeling a new freedom. When even the lyrics are not really fitting the poem’s story, I felt like sharing it today. I am glad the poem reminded me of this beautiful song which I haven’t heard in ages. Happy Tuesday, everybody!

Ah, Randy Crawford! Her songs are perfect for Sunday afternoon easy listening, including this one! ๐Ÿ™‚ You should check out her other tunes, such as “Last Night at Danceland” and “One Hello.”

On a side note, I do remember this tune being used in that Moulin Rouge movie – with Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor.

She has quite a few great songs. Spontaneously I also recall “Street Life”. So they also used it in Moulin Rouge. I did not know about that. Thanks for adding this ๐Ÿ˜Š

Oh yeah, that too! I almost forgot! No problem, and thank you likewise for mentioning that tune. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ve been listening too much to the Fatima Rainey version that I forgot it was a cover of an earlier song.
