#SongTuesday

Yesterday I shared photos from our trip to Zermatt. So it makes sense to post a song from a very popular Swiss hard rock band today. This rock ballad that is more than beautiful. Unfortunately, there are no mountains in the video, instead there are all the more skyscrapers… who cares, as long as the music carries you away…

Heaven – Gotthard

The band was formed in 1992 and is still active and popular. Sadly, on October 5, 2010, lead singer Steve Lee (in the video) died in an unfortunate accident in Las Vegas, when he was hit by a motorcycle that had previously collided with a truck. On November 11, 2011 Gotthard announced a new singer, Nic Maeder.

Great rock ballad! He has a great voice. There have been many tragedies in the music industry. It’s cool that the band is still going. Thanks for the song and backstory 🎸🎵

Yes, although it cannot be the same anymore, it is a new start and at the same time honors the heritage of Steve Lee. I knew you would like this ballad.

This guys voice is amazing, it can go from a quite high pitch into a very firm and even gravely voice. Isn’t that unusual, usually most people are up or down but not both or for that matter anywhere he wants to? Anyway, a sad loss, I liked the song, he did it justice 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋

To be honest, I have not heard a lot of that band yet although they have been so popular in Switzerland for decades. However, I discovered this song and I fell in love with it immediately. Yes, he has the perfect hard rock voice and that ballad is simply made for him. I am happy you liked it too, Mark!
